Better than the huawei watch 2 in your opinion? Cheers.
Ive bought a few refurbished Apple watches from Argos eBay and sent them all back as the condition has been awful. Described as grade A and all have been grade C /lower.
I put a fellow HUKD'er on to this earlier this afternoon. I had been agonising over the S3 Frontier and was about to pull the trigger when all vendors upped the new price from £250- £300 overnight! This watch (refurbished) was £239 on Argos 'til this morning as it was in my basket.
Incidentally i bought a Gear Sport instead last week. Same internals but suits my lifestyle better with the water resistance. Unlike the above poster my REFURBISHED Gear Sport was like new from Argos.
Picked up the Classic for 170, worth returning for the extra 20?
The mrs and my brother have these aswell, dont no alot about the huawei but i do no this is great. Answer calls, texs, play music, everything and the health side works well. U wont b sorry if u buy it and new straps r cheap and the fun bit is u can change the screen to suit ur mood. 100s of them and never paid for 1 yet. Hope it helps.
Wonderful watch but awful app store.
I got this from clearance bargains (Argos clearance store), brilliant watch and in excellent condition for the same price

I've had a few things off them mainly xiaomi phones, always been fine and even let me return one I purchased by mistake before.
Had mine since release date, is very good but sometimes gets confused and the odd unpairing. Use mine mainly for alerts and weather etc. and also the odd receipt of phone calls.

The Huawei Watch 2 is awful. Next-to-useless.

I bought one because I wanted Android Wear not Samsung's Tizen. Mainly because I like the voice functionality - the ability to say 'Okay/Hey Google' and talk to it, along with the better integration of Android Wear into the greater Android Ecosystem.

Big Mistake.

I switched from a Galaxy Gear Live, a Samsung watch from 2014. And it out performs the Huawei watch 2 in every way.

The Huawei Watch 2 is so slow, I literally only use it to tell the time now. If I want to do ANYTHING else with it, it just crawls. Literally, if I want to do something simple, like say, start a timer?? Yeah, that timer won't be starting for a good 20-30 seconds while the slow as anything watch thinks very intently about turning on the screen (5-10 sec). Then loading the app drawer (5-10 sec) then launching the timer app (5-10 sec). Then allowing me to select the timer I want (5-10 sec).

The Huawei Watch 2 is one of the worst performing pieces of technology I have ever bought. It genuinely feels like someone attempted to make a smartwatch using technology from 2010. It is abysmal, a complete waste of money on all fronts.

I used to buy the hype - that Huawei was one of these up-and-coming Chinese brands that can match the quality and performance of big brands at a fraction of the price. Quite simply, it can't. The performance is tragic, and the price isn't even that cheap anymore, since they seem to have gotten it into their heads that they can actually compete with the likes of Samsung. Ha.

I wish I had bought a Samsung Watch. They may be running Tizen, but at least I would have had a useable smartwatch, as opposed what is essentially a hugely overpriced digital watch with no useable smart functionality. I can't wait for the next line of Samsung watches to come... apparently going to be running Android Wear too - and I'll finally be able to throw this piece of uselessness into the bin where it belongs.

I haven't. They got 4 stars on Google though.

Really? I have the Huawei Watch 2 and I have the complete opposite experience to you. Granted it can hang for a few seconds at times but for me waking the watch, loading the app drawer and opening apps is almost instantaneous. I can easily set a timer in less than 10 seconds. Did you try a replacement unit?
If you would prefer the Samsung Gear S3 Classic NEW then Aamzon Prime deals of day are selling for £199.99 (amazon.co.uk/Sam…_NA) . or if it's a NEW frontier you want Currys selling with Echo dot for £284.99 currys.co.uk/gbu…tml) or with goggle home mini for £279.99 ( currys.co.uk/gbu…tml )

Disable the WiFi. That solves the unpairing issue.

WiFi is a bit of a battery drain when it swaps to that, anyway.
or you could wait a couple of weeks till they launch the new Gear 4. Then get it a lot cheaper.
I thought about buying this until i read a review that says some of the functions are only useable if you have a samsung phone. You can only reply to a notification, not create a new email or message. Kind of defeats the purpose of the watch for me as I dont have a samsung phone. Just a heads up for anyone looking to buy this watch

I'm using a OnePlus and can text people from it, even if it's not a reply. Not sure if I can email, but either way messaging and emailing from a watch is pointless. Not sure why you would bother and it certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker.

Best use for me is syncing music to it and running without my phone.

If you buy the last one of these... would that be... The Final Frontier?

Just checked my settings and it says WiFi will be disabled when connected to bluetooth which it is, so that can't be the problem i think, thanks anyway.

That's the default.
You need to disable the option in the Gear App (Settings > Gear Connection > Remote Connection to OFF) and ensure its off, not Auto, on the watch itself.

Mine used to disconnect almost weekly. Since changing that, it hasn't done it for months.

Couldn't follow your route but managed it in the end by resetting the watch.
Sold out now glad i didn't wait. The new classic mentioned from Amazon is from a US firm this is UK stock and bought a few things from Argos on Ebay so defiantly a genuine website.
Mind arrived yesterday. Grade b refurb. Damage on the actual screen, not physical.
mine arrived yesterday and it was near brand new condition, with only the box showing signs of wear and tear.
Back for sale again for those who missed out last time
