Samsung Gear S3 SM-R760 Frontier Smart Watch - £199.99 @ Toby Deals

£199.99 is the lowest price I've seen. Strikes me as a good deal if you're prepared to take a chance with the supplier. I did, no problems.

My friend was telling me about a phone being cheap on Toby's deals and after reading reviews myself on this site I decided against it.

My friend said that he has bought phones with no issues. The only thing he mentioned where's warranty etc if anything happened to the phone then you probably have nightmar in sorting it out....

It definitely seems like a bit of a punt. Which shouldn't really be the case when spending that much money. With regards to warranty, it should be with the manufacturer to begin with but you're right, if something goes wrong outwith the warranty period then you need to deal with the retailer and that could prove problematic. Also not sure how warranties work with purchasing products from different regions. Think it's maybe just too much risk for the saving, sadly.
I bought this watch from this company last time it was posted. Great bit of kit, no problems with delivery. Would recommend.

I can only comment from personal experience, but I bought a phone from them a couple of months ago with no issues at all.
I've been waiting for this to drop below £200 and have added heat for the price. I'm just not brave enough to order from this site especially as it will be an import, would be just my luck to get a lemon, tempted though 😃 😞 C'mon Samsung, drop your price!!
Also, i believe samsung pay is restricted to the country you purchase from. So if its an import, samsung pay may not work in the UK, plus samsung would not give warranty for imported items

I cannot comment on your first statement.

The price is good, but the arrival of the next model will obviously influencing pricing of the older model(s) thereafter.
Your willpower may not be strong enough to wait, though

    I wouldn't use this Company.
If you believe the online reviews, you may decide not to either.

I'm afraid Samsung will not be droping the price any time soon. I've been monitoring the price with the Samsung shop and the price has been raised. I was in the Samsung shop yesterday and noticed the watch was £350.00.

It's cheaper to get it from Argos which was £275.
Great watch but I would be careful where you get it from. I bought one off Amazon where Amazon uk was the actual seller and was sent one from the United Arab Emirates which wasn't covered under UK warranty and Samsung pay wouldn't work either. I sent it back and bought it from a high street shop instead as Amazon wouldn't send a UK one instead. Apparently a lot of the time when you see this watch cheap it will be an import.
wish samsung would release samsung pay for the uk s2 classic. They advertised it when it was being released but never enabled it on the uk model for some reason. Probably trying to get people to upgrade. I love samsung products but their support is terrible
How quickly is delivery from Toby?

I had exactly this problem. I bought my s7 edge apparnelty from the UK but actually from the UAE. Samsung pay didn't work for a few months then randomly started working. Not too sure why it started working but it did.

Chinese based sellers have a different mindset than we are used to in the west. The goods will very probably turn up but once they have your money they lose interest. They pay lip service to after sales service and any warranty is more or less worthless. Grey imports are usually not covered by a manufacturers warranty and that includes Samsung. If you purchase using a credit card then if anything goes wrong, you can claim against the card issuer under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974. If you go for the cheapest postage (usually the free option) it will take longer to arrive but in all likelihood you will avoid paying import duty. Use an express courier like DHL and you almost certainly will. Your purchase may turn out to be a smooth transaction and you can make a tidy saving but.... if you are unlucky, as long as you have taken precautions you can get it sorted but it's all a bit of a ball ache.

Yeah pretty much my thoughts. I'll probably give it a miss and wait and see if any UK sellers drop to this sort of price before any announcement of a newer model.

Not sure when the next model will be released so not sure about any price drops for that reason as yet but I am secretly hoping there will be an announcement soon but i think it could be into the last quarter of this year, if at all. Who knows. I'm going to give this one a miss as it is too much potential hassle. If a UK seller sold it for similar then I may well not be able to wait and would probably get one.

Apparently it went down to 201 before Xmas on their employee portal, I missed that one but would have been close enough for me I think.
Hi all, purchased one of these and can't get Samsung pay to work, I note the comments above but is there a way around this? It does seem to be a uae one and just hangs at the validation stage?
Further to the above, a little googling and I found this advice, which seems to have worked

    Here is what I did:

    1) I uninstalled the following from my Note 8:

    Samsung Pay App

    Samsung Gear App

    Samsung Gear App Plug ins

    2) Reset the Gear S3

    3) Reinstalled the Samsung Gear App and all plug ins

    4) Reconnect the Gear S3 to the Note 8

    5) Added cards to the Samsung Pay via the Gear S3

    6) Reinstall the Samsung Pay App and added back the cards

How long did it take to arrive? Is it official Samsung? I'm really tempted ordering.
It took about a week tobarrive and is genuine, apart from the Samsung pay thing all seems good.
