good deal! rated hot! just was looking at this same soundbar already

thanks
whats the difference between this currys.co.uk/gbu…tml

it says that the currys one is 5.1 not sure about amazon one though
I bought a QR60 last week for £279! Haven’t set it up yet to see if there if a deal on the QR70. After lots of research I’m still under-sided on which one to go for. 3.1 vs 5.1. QR60 if higher watts output. QR70 sub is bigger. It seems if you have a brand new tv then go for the QR70 but my tv is about 4 years old and not sure if I would reap the benefits of the Sony Atmos feature!?! Anyone else found out anymore on this to help? Thanks in advance.

Thanks mate, might be a silly question but does the tv need to support Dolby Atmos? Thanks again

I think in order for you to get Dolby Atmos via direct TV to Soundbar link (most likely as only one HDMI port) then your TV would need to support eARC for it to work... I could be completely wrong but I believe that is true. If it doesn't then Dolby Atmos wouldn't be available... firmware updates have update some HDCP's to accept the increased sound signal known as eARC.

Thank you mate that’s definitely helpful to me and I’m sure many more looking at these. My tv is about 4 years old and don’t think it would support. These bars were only released this year and are obviously inline with the new TVs. I’m happy with the QR60 now as it a higher watt output. Then other differences is the QR70 has WiFi so you can control from Alexa. Thanks again I’ll go and open my box now and set it up...

I've been monitoring Q90 soundbar prices for a while now, do you mind me asking how much you paid and where from ? I have a price match option at John Lewis for 1169 - but still seems quite pricey. I was hoping today would see something closer to 1,000, but it would seem not...

Take that price match, i paid £1249 for it as I was there and wanted it. Its a stupid amount of money to spend but how i looked at it was I know i wont need to change it for 10 years or more where if i spent £300-£500 on a bar i would be upgrading it and wishing i bought the best one. (Thats how im selling it to myself)

Was hoping it was going to drop so i could get the difference back but it hasnt.

Thats not bad logic, I bought a "SONY HTRT5 5.1" four years ago for 400 (RRP of 500) and never been happy with it ..
Showing 335 on mine as well

Ok well according to that Atmos would work but only via Dolby digital plus a compressed version via ARC.

It's the dolby trueHD version that won't work unless eARC.
Set up the Q60 and well happy with it! It replaced a Sony amp 7.1 and feels truly more immersive, god only knows how the above versions sound but can definitely recommend this one. Adaptive sound works really well too
Missed the deal..
