Actually, the specs on Amazon list it as 1080P (i.e. full HD), making this a better deal. H&R added.

Only reason I won't get the dented wallet out is that like most of these small-format HD recorders, there's no optical zoom. Great deal tho'!

This is a good price for a pocket but I decided to go for a Sanyo Xacti instead. Twice the price of this but the quality should be higher.

i don't think this has had great reviews but i think it's a good price

Ok I will try and improve my posts in the future.

go for the kodak zi8 , best quality flip type about.

I have the countourHD as a helmet cam, rather pricey and quality is rather good for extreme sports etc, for posting on web etc. But to watch on a big telly and to make vids of family etc its rather poor, wonder if the better quality versions of these are just the same?

How are these when compared to ]The Flip? Heard great reviews about The Flip when it comes to quality, a bit expensive though!

Is there anyway I can attach this to a tripod. And what's it likely to be like indoors?

Cheers

Kodak Zi8 is the best pocket handheld cam.

Doesnt the other half find that a bit uncomfortable?

Makes up for what im missing :whistling:

have to agree with 'sunni' and paul.jacobs, the zi8 is def better than the samsung or flip and all others, good screen, 32gb card slot, rechargeable batt, HDMI, external mic connection,
full 1080p res. cracking quality!!

This is £30+ cheaper than the Zi8 does the Zi8 warrant the extra £30?

I think id want something with some optical zoom on it?

Which isn't saying much...

I have the Kodak and when used indoors it's like a 5 year old cameraphone. Absolutely awful quality, so if it's considered 'the best' I dread to think what 'the rest' are like, such as this Samsung et al!

Just goes to show that "high resolution" output doesn't mean high quality.

I haven't voted on this one - I can't make up my mind. So it's cheap but the video output is crap - so does that mean it's a bargain or not? If the end result isn't worth watching then £79 is a lot to spend, however cheap it is compared to the competition. Or is it a bargain just because people want to buy that model and that's the cheapest price for it?

I can't see past my Flip Mino HD. I just wish my hand wasn't as shaky
