Product overview:
Nothing short of breathtaking, the HT-C350/XEU boasts 5.1 channel surround sound and a 1000W high power output.
It can convert the resolution of ordinary DVDs to 1080p/1080i/720p High Definition - so you can experience video and audio quality you didn't think was possible before!
The USB Host Play function enables various multimedia files to be played without a PC, including DivX, MP3, WMA, and JPEGs - plus you can add portable digital devices without software for instant entertainment.
HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) transfers video data from the home theatre to your TV at the highest quality. The 100% digital-to-digital connection supports HD video - for the ultimate home entertainment experience.
Access and connection are easy too, thanks to wireless Bluetooth technology and Samsung's Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC). This lets you control all your HDMI-CEC-compatible AV products with a single remote, while one line of HDMI cable makes installation and the quality superb.

same price at comet online it would seem...but elsewhere just over 100 ..so heat anyway ...comet link

Working Link Cheers for this Sltl

Sorry to ask a simple question, but does this allow you to plug in your Sky HD box or maybe a media player like a Popcorn Hour, or PS3 and use these speakers?

Thanks

the description on the sainsbury website states 1000watts of power output but on comet's website it shows at 330watts. checked samsung's website and it is 330 watts, not 1000 as stated on sainsbury. here is the link: samsung.com/au/…ion

good price, just a shame it lacks hdmi input.
Just guessing too but the 1000W/330W disparity may be the old 330W RMS, 1000W peak. Both are correct but peak power is misleading

Looks good but I'm going to hold on for something similar with a Blu-ray player.
Hopefully pick one up in the sales.

Here is the PDF user manual for those looking for the finer details....

This looks like a decent system even if you only wanted it for the Speakers to add to a different amp.

UPDATE, forget that last.... the speakers are only 3 ohm impedance. Most good amps require 6 to 8 ohm impedance.

it also says

This one is £276 on amazon and £399 at sainsburys, seems to do everything you could need entertainment wise.....internet tv, 2 hdmi inputs, ipod dock that allows you to corntrol and watch thru your tv, usb port, bluray, 1000watts or 330watts depending on what people say on here, but thats plenty enough.........follow the link to see more

here it is at samsungs own site

The bluetooth thing is pretty crap anyway, I have done it from my phone a few times. But it eats up so much battery that it makes more sense to just plug the thing in.

If your at home using your bluetooth to send to home cinema, you should have your phone pluged in anyway, have the same problem with battery power on my galaxy s, have anything on for any length of time and it dies!? but its the same with any phone!?

Yes indeed it is, my point is that is while it's kind of cool to be able to stream music over bluetooth I have not found any scenario in which I would actually want to do this on a regular basis. If someone else does find this a useful feature in some other way I am not considering please let me know.

this model is pretty basic it does not even have DTS.

but good it has optical input.

Tempted - I could do with something like this....

It's a dvd player and as such will never be full hd or even hd.

I believe people are more interested in this for it's surround sound capabilities.
