I personally think this sound bar is fantastic for the price, I don’t think it will drop any further than the price it’s currently at. Was £150 on black Friday, unless ebay makes another 20% off this is your best bet. Which also has this as best buy and rated very high.

don’t forget 10% topcashback, also check if you’re on some work program at your work to see if you can get currys gift cards. I get 7% off.

also anyone looking for the rear setup you can pickup brand new swa-9000 on ebay around £90-£100. Works brilliant.
Got this for £111 in the ebay 20% off day from curry's store. Hold out it'll drop again. We'll worth it though.
I would buy this if it wasn't currys. Never again will they receive a penny from me.

Think this LG one is a better and cheaper option currys.co.uk/gbu…tml
any soundbar experts here? I was holding out to get the LG E7 if it hit £1500 again but I'd be happy with a B7/C7 at £1400 if there was a quality soundbar to be had for under £250
Bought the Panasonic 688 over this, not sure which one is better tho

My parents recently got this one, for the money it's pretty good. Good sound quality, decent bass from the wireless sub, and connected via HDMI ARC it'll turn on and off with the TV.
I have this and am very happy with it. Good sound from speaker and sub.
Anyone know about expanding this with rear speakers? Im looking for a decent surround sound system that wont break the bank but dont know where to start.

Samsung SWA-8000s is the rear speaker kit but it's hard to find (replaced by the 9000s and not sure if that's compatible - just says m450 on the list). Reviews I've found say it's a pain to make work, often returned and sound is crap even if it does work. I've given up.

If you want surround go the av amplifier route, a cheap yamaha amp and 5.1 speaker set wouldn't be far off the same price as the Samsung sound bar and rear speaker kit and will sound better. I got my stuff as refurbs from richer sounds eBay store- £300ish in total and sounds great.

Try the LG SJ5 series. You can find it around £200 mark. There may be cheaper options available but thats the one ive seen.
I set this up for my parents when they bought it in the black Friday sales, I wasn't expecting much for the money, but was very impressed with not only the sound but also the ease of setup, the HDMI ARC and CEC make it super easy to setup and use for any modern TV. I also like the hidden display, making it look a bit nicer.

I ended up getting one for my LG 55C6V on Christmas eve, and it hasn't disappointed.
Might have a look at this myself looks decent for the money (if buying a Samsung tv)

I asked AO to price match the Crampton and Moore price yesterday at £389. To my surprise they said they'd beat the price and got me the Soundbar for £279. With the £200 cashback from Samsung it's an effective price of £79. They price matched the 50"" Samsung TV to £399 at the same time. Total cost £478. Couldn't believe my luck. If I'd rung them an hour earlier they may have price matched Amazon at £339 for the TV...not going to lose any sleep over that though.

In Richer Sounds its £828 with the Samsung discount...with a 6 year guarantee mind.
I have the j 450 basically the previiuos years model and I'm very underwelmed with it

It looks like my extractor fan.
I bought this last week. I’m impressed. It does good sound and bass but not to much if uv got kids upstairs and neighbours next door. Cheap but worth it.
Can the R7 speakers connect to this?

I did. I already have this soundbar (still in box for months!). Would be great if I could pair up the R7s with this.
My parents bought this yesterday, good sound quality for the price.

For real? That's a stonking discount! Did you email them or call for the price match?
Just went onto AO, they don't seem to have the £200 Cashback promo on their website?

I rang them at about 4.30pm, they may have been short on their sales target for the day. The promo is not there, but the Samsung site has a list of excluded retailers and AO aren't on it or fitting the criteria, so should be good, worst comes to the worst and Samsung don't play ball, AO have a 30 day no quibble return policy, I'm going to ring Samsung on the 2nd to be sure, but I'm not expecting a surprise.

I should say fitting the criteria for exclusion, which is principally ebay or marketplace merchants.

I hope Samsung honours the discount.. they are a bit vague on their t&c's as on the website it says:
please note Dixons, John Lewis and some other retailers are excluded... I wonder what 'others' are...
I posted this couple days ago... has the link for the soundbar t&c...

hotukdeals.com/dea…797

As I say, the t&c is vague at best.

What retailers sell the soundbar for 279?
Best advice I can give anyone re soundbars is to take an uncompressed film/Blu ray and get them to play specific scenes from it and listen to the Soundbar.

Not all soundbars are made equal but you'd be surprised that some offer little or no improvement from your TV Stereo speakers.

Example;
Yamaha YSP 2700 once cranked up sounded great but compared to some bookshelf speakers and a sub (with an amp of course, it sounded kinda average.

Sonos Soundbar - Great with the sub, but in felt meh with areas you wanted that boom, etc
