Not seen this posted and it is the cheapest I’ve seen it and it’s on Curry’s 100 hour deal.

I picked one of these up yesterday and it sounds fantastic. The convenience of not having lengthy speaker cable everywhere is great. 3 months of Deezer is also included.

Specs:
  • Dolby Atmos: 3D sound from 11 speakers
  • Supports High-Resolution Audio with 4K pass-through
  • Wireless subwoofer
  • Multi-room functionality means you can enjoy audio throughout your home
  • Bluetooth

Pretty sure JL can price match too

Heat from me. It has Dolby Atmos.
Good price for what what is probably the best sound bar setup on the market
Not sure why this is cold? compare it to a ms650 + price of a sub and rears this is a bargin!
HDUK is probably not the best place to post a £1000 soundbar regardless of the specs. Happy New Year.
Excellent value for a Dolby atmos setup
I have been watching this beast for few months and happy that price is going down. The deal is cold because this is becoming the standard price...it is the same price at Richer Sounds, Hughes, peter Tyson and many other retailers...so really not a deal just a normal price
Not sure why this has been voted cold either, HDUK is a forum for all deals, including top of the range quality products like this. If people think £1000 is too much for a sound bar then dont buy one, but it doesnt mean its not a good deal. Where would we be on here if all that was posted is the cheap, lower end of the market products ? Heat from me and hopefully from others too.

This kind of thing gets voted cold for the same reason a lot of PS4 deals do. Because, as someone else mentioned, this is now a standard price.
If this was a one off, short time deal then sure. However this price will be around until the price falls again.
Standard pricing, however much lower than the RRP (which means quite little anyway) rarely gets a hot vote here.

This is an amazing sounding Atmos Soundbar system big step up from the HW-K850 I too hope it continues to drop in price as too much for me right now but would love to have one
After tracking the price on this, it was only once marginally lower than this and is usually just sitting in the standard pricing of around £1199.
I don’t get why people vote it cold to be honest, HUKD is a funny old place.
This deal makes it a MultiRoom set up that works out cheaper than a lot of comparable Sonos deals, allows many of the higher definition audio codecs and also has upwards firing speakers for Dolby Atmos, something that Sonos (allegedly) has no interest in pursuing at present which is the main reason I didn’t go for the Sonos equivalent.
I can honestly say it’s a much more immersive sound as a result of the Atmos mix on many recent films with a really precise placement of the sound.
I might buy 6. 1 for each bedroom of my house.
999 for speakers without a TV... why didn't you say!
Be aware that this doesn’t support DTS-MA or DTS:X. DTS:X isn’t such an issue as it’s not on many films yet, but the lack of DTS-MA means that any Blu-Rays you watch with these tracks (seemingly the majority) will only be in DTS (i.e. the old Lossy DVD format rather than the lossless Blu Ray track). Bit tight of Samsung not to pay for the licences at this price.

Also, it’s likely that a new model will be announced next week at CES so i’d expect furthe price drops over the next few months.
I’m pretty sure Samsung resolved this earlier in the year with a software update.

Ms650, wireless sub, wireless rears and 2x logik 20" tvs can be had for ~£880 at Currys at the moment.

Take away the cost of the Tv's and it works out around £700.
why does your title have 5.1.4? when this is a 5,1,2 setup?
how times have changed, Samsung, speakers, £1000, they must sound ok for that money, I used have a similar bose set up which surprisingly sounded good for size of speaker,

I believe it is because the wireless rears have atmos also.

Sometimes it doesnt matter how good the competition gets you will always have the sonos lovers like you do the apple lovers, competition could be better on performance and price but people will go with what they think is best, ignorance and laziness.

As reply above, rear speakers are also upfiring Atmos channels.

New Atmos sound solutions in soundbar formats will come out of CES 2018, the price on this 2 year old model will drop, let alone new models may be the same price point to encourage sales.

Ignore that, it's a 5.1.4 Atmos setup.

5 surround speakers: 2 front channels in the bar for left and right, 1 centre channel also in the bar. 2 rear channels in the rear speakers. That's 5...

.1: The .1, like any surround is the number of subwoofers. You see a wireless subwoofer? That's the .1

.4: Righto, you have 2 upfiring channels in the soundbar, that's the .2 taken care of. You go to the rear, if it has rear atmos it becomes a .4 setup. This system has rear upfiring atmos from the rear speakers. That's 4 channels total for Atmos - .4

5.1.4

you did not need to write that whole response, i know what Dolby atmos is and the sound projection and surround sound set up. I am just stating what it said in the title. I was wondering why it does not include them.

I felt the need since you seem overly bothered by it, to the point of it coming across as doubting the rear channels are there. I didn't want anyone doubting it is a 5.1.4 setup as a result. Seemed fair.

It's just Currys being well, Currys.

They did a half-arsed update. Initially this bar could only decode any DTS track to 2.0 sound (i.e. stereo!). After the update, it now can decode to a 5.1 lossy track, but far below either the lossless DTS-MA track or the object-based DTS:X track.

Not only that, but DD+ (so Atmos) is still not supported over HDMI ARC, so if you have a funky 2017 LG OLED or something else that can send Atmos over ARC, you won't get it on this soundbar. So the built-in Netflix app won't be Atmos enabled.

Such a shame because it's a lovely bit of kit, but silly stuff like this leaves a bitter taste
