I just spotted this on Curry's website and seems to be a great deal for the spec. Code WIRELESS200 brings it down to £149 and runs until midnight tonight.

Ordered one earlier - returning the m360 model I ordered now. Great value on the m460
Thanks for contributing to the site
Good value but alas not the best sound probably hence the drop. Stated by Which obviously
Great thanks, have to get the husband to order me one!!
So how did the m460 work out at ?
This price in a few places.
HA £350 for basic soundbar Currys must be high. it don't even have wifi/Chromecast. Still £150 is ok.

It has the option of adding wireless surround speakers at a later date though which is better than the most basic of soundboard. My Chromecast lives in the TV so having another Chromecast built into the sound bar is hardly a requirement.
Can any owners confirm whether this has WiFi? Thanks
No WiFi on this one.

So people, do i keep the 360 for £129 from Richer Sounds, which has some good reviews, or add another £30 and go for this one, which has some okish reviews. Surely the extra 120W on this one and being the 4 series this would be a better choice ??
Been looking for a decent samsung soundbar to go with my newly acquired black friday deal tv.
Was beginning to regret not going for the Richer Sounds deal on the 360 earlier this week, but I've jumped straight on this deal.
Ordered.
Thanks!
Currently got the HW-J450 - would it be worth the upgrade? Current one claims to be 300w but not all that impressed with it

I'm switching mine out. The extra power, ARC input and 4 speakers as opposed to 2 in the sound bar are worth the £20 extra
couldn't find many reviews online, but went for it anyway - it can always be returned
Hi, this may be a foolish question but do I need to connect this to some sort of Amp or does it just connect to the TV?
Thank you

It connects straight to the TV, the amp is built into the speaker. You have a choice of optical, HDMI or wirelessly if you have a suitable tv

But is this Which review based on a price of £350 ? What else does Which have to say ?

How does it sound?

Not the best. In our lab tests, we found that the sound lacked excitement compared with the best sound bars - you'll be able to hear sound effects clearly but the 'wow factor' is missing. Speech is easy to understand during scenes of dialogue, but the sound is uneven when listening to music. Some specific pitches of sound simply don't come through loud enough so, depending on the song, you might not hear your favourite guitar solo in all its glory.

As with most sound bars, there's a setting that attempts to approximate a surround sound system. It uses digital processing to manipulate the sound and make it seem like its coming from all around you. However, this sound bar is below average at doing this - we didn't find this mode convincing at all.
My son is after some surround sound for his room.
Anybody know what this would be like teamed up with the other deal posted on here.... hotukdeals.com/dea…app

Not sure the price should have any relevance when reviewing sound quality.

Not sure the price should have any relevance when reviewing sound quality.

it would if Which are grouping them in price ranges and then doing a compare/value/features etc test surely ?

* don't have a Which subby, so IDK, just speculating

edit:
just found this:

Once we have all our test results in, we evaluate the data to determine the total test score for each sound bar. The sound bar score ignores price and is based on: Sound quality: 80% Ease of use: 10% Features and power use: 10%

How can they ever have justified £350 for this without WiFi?! Personally think the £150 price tag is all it's ever been worth
Awesome deal - don't need one but will buy one to test it out!

The yammy is £299.
a friend had a top of the range samsung soundbar that was £500+ and it sounded very poor compared to my philips htl5140 (few years old and long out of production) that was <£200. they even aske dme round to check it was all set up correctly!
Gutted... son opened this today, plugged it in and all synced up. However the unit stays on for 5 seconds then displays PROT and shuts itself down. When i have got it to stay on for more than 10 seconds there is hissing coming from one of the bar speakers and the unit wont stay on long before prot error/shutdown. The sub doesnt seem to be pumping out hardly any sound, it is working but VERY faint.

So a bit peeved to say the least, more for my 16 year old who was really excited this morning only to find we now have to wait till tomorrow to drive to nearest Currys and exchange as faulty :-(

UPDATE: Swapped out for a new one and all working fine. My gawd what have we let ourselves in for, its blooming loud!
