Stunning audio all around you

Designed by Samsung and perfected by Harman Kardon, the Samsung HW-Q90R/XU 7.1.4 Wireless Sound Bar with Dolby Atmos brings your films, games and music to life.

With Dolby Atmos and dts:X, you'll experience immersive surround sound from 17 speakers. Side- and up-firing speakers combine to create a realistic, multi-dimensional sound. Feel like you're in the centre of the action as you hear thunder and lightning crash down from above as cars race around you.

Level up your gaming audio

With the Samsung HW-Q90R/XU gaming mode, you'll never want to play with just headphones ever again. Game Pro Mode delivers immersive, dynamic sound for games compatible with Dolby Atmos. Listen out for enemy footsteps creeping up behind you as you wait for the perfect moment to strike.

Bring the bass

Feel the rumbling bass of your EDM thanks to the wireless subwoofer. With no cables, you can position it anywhere you fancy. Whether that's underneath the TV or right next to the sofa.

Wirelessly connect

Select your chill out playlist without moving from the sofa. With Bluetooth, you can pick the next song straight from your phone and stream your favourite tracks from Spotify or Deezer. And if you've already got an Amazon Alexa, you can use voice commands to skip a song or pump up the volume.

Don't forget to use any work/discounted gift cards. Got an additional 8% off this price myself.
I'm not very happy with the sound of my bush TV , will this improve the sound?
If the rear dolby surround sounds are a must then seek out the hwn950 it is basically the same and will be much cheaper now.

Failing that i managed to bag the n850 for just over 300 quid from hughes direct ebay on offer so keep. An eye out.
I have this and it’s amazing, make sure you update to the latest firmware to avoid having connectivity issues. Films like mad max fury road (base is so good, one of the small updates compared to last years model) and ready player one are awesome in Atmos It’s expensive but if you want wireless Atmos rear speakers it’s the best option
I have this and got it from Curry's a year ago for £900
Undeserved cold votes on this one, given what you actually get for the money it's really good.

I bought this a few months back and it's really first rate once you get it to work. The firmware update is an absolute essential and you have to be really patient in doing it. I also had to factory reset mine afterwards but since then it's been flawless.
Really close to buying one of these. Good review and discussion here: avforums.com/rev…157

Q90r Wasnt released until summer this year

Have had various iterations of (some very) expensive Pre-Power driven Home Cinema set-ups across 25 years. Bought the K950 a few years back - loved it. Bought this a couple of months back for the same price as OP - similarly love it. It is not the same as a dedicated 7.1.4 install, but its close enough in my 6x5m room that my old rig is in storage, unlikely to resurface. It's simple, and works very well. If you're voting cold and havent lived with it, then yeah, whatever.

How did you manage to do that?
and did anyone buy stands for the rear speakers?
What is curries return policy for unopened items? I am thinking of buying one and sitting tight to see what happens to pricing at the end of thr month.

I went for the Eono universal speaker stands, should be arriving today, I'll post again later when I've set them up.

39012554-2IQD9.jpg39012554-JltxU.jpg39012554-itT2w.jpgThey work okay, slight issue with the bolts screwing into the speakers but a few washers (included) tightened it up. Other issue is that the cable for the speakers doesn't extend very far when routed through the pole. Overall not bad for £45ish for a pair, seem stable, and no vibrating noise when the speakers are active.

Id avoid it in that case, not sure even the expensive Vebos ones would be good for that. Wall mount would be better imo!
What kind of hdmi 2.1 cable are you using ti connect to your TV?
Just a amazon basic high speed. Works with eArc from my 65C9, wth atmos showing on the bar. Not tested DTS X though.

Perfect - I now have the same setup as yours 65C9 + Q90r + amazon basic 4k + Eono speaker stands

Only difference is this:
amazon.co.uk/gp/…c=1

How do you intend to watch 4K/atmos? My only bet so far is Netflix pro (we are not gamers at all)

Found a little dent on the edge of my soundbar. Really unhappy about that!

Which screw size did you use to connect the speakers form the rear? Not easy to fix from my end....
Netflix, Amazon, and Plex.

Got lucky, not seen any issues other than some discolouration in certain greys on the tv.

In the end I used the T bracket (screw attached to the bar) to mount the speaker. None of the loose screws fitted properly.
Moving to a new house and looking to get this to replace my old HD amp Yamaha 5.1 system as Mrs can’t stand wires. Don’t need it on day one so might hold off for a further price drop. Should play nice with my LGC9
