1366 x 768 display (non touch screen) and SATA II only in case anyone is wondering.

Seems good.

I'm a wee bit dubious about win8 without a touchscreen, but I'm sure most people would say I'm daft for that...

Who am l to argue?

If the full price was £700, then surely it should have a touch screen? (_;)

We should boycott laptops without FHD.

One in stock near me. I'd prefer a 1080p screen though.

Ancient specs

I'm sure this Samsung ATIV is quality kit but if you go PCSpecialist.com, for £548, you can spec up a Cosmos II with a 720p screen, 8GB of RAM, a 1000GB HDD, an i3-4100M (Haswell) CPU and, most importantly, an Nvidia 850 GPU.

ThunderBolt

I switched from 7 Pro to 8.1 Pro on my home PC a few weeks back. I don't have any touchscreen monitors (nor would I want one). 8.1 is just fine. I only see the Metro screen if I make a conscious choice to go into it. I did tweak the start menu slightly, but thats all. Other than that, it's just like using 7 but slicker.

Quoted on the Argos site as 10hrs battery life, whereas other sites quote up to 4 hrs... Any experiences of this or similar models? Thanks

i don't think this is widely available. looked in london, crawley and surrey and surrounding areas!!!

ordered thanks, has a decent processor, better then anything at pcworld at this price.

Windows 8 takes alot to get used to, laptop took about 50 seconds to boot up.

I've found touchscreen to be invaluable on my Windows 8.1 laptop. I never realised how much easier it would make things until I tried it.
