People who complain about curved TVs are generally buyers of brands that don't offer the feature.

No such choice to make when ordering your new Polaroid, eh?

Would have jumped over a bridge to get this if it was the 6400!
Great price, shame it's curved. Have a good read up on curved TVs, especially at this size, before buying

Curved doesn't do much for smaller screens and where it does appear more obviously on larger screens, people tend to put those larger screens on the wall. This means that they have to put up with TVs that protrude from the wall. Curved also means that whoever is not on dead centre of the TV gets a slightly distorted view.
Was incredibly apprehensive about purchasing my 65 inch Samsung (ks9000) but as JL said I could return it if I didn't like it I thought I'd try it first.

All this talk about viewing angles is irrelevant unless you're sitting to the extreme sides, which would be a problem even if with a flat. Glare from the windows produces wavy lines as opposed to a flat line on the screen, this is about the only difference (it's not even an issue for me).

Most importantly, the curve is very gentle and virtually unnoticeable - suffice to say I kept the TV without hesitation even though it was possible to get a flat version.

Viewing angles are better on flat. I've tried both back to back. Glare is also a pain. Would have returned it if I were you to be honest. All manufacturers are now stopping curved as it was a flop. Btw how does it look on your wall?!

I've had a flat Panasonic 50 for ten years and the curved doesn't bother me one bit, in fact it enhances the experience for me. It's on the v stand not the wall.

So as long as you get a large screen and don't put it on the wall then curved is great - cheers
curved = no buy
it's a dead :"tech" even if it can be called a tech.
curved is so 2014..
it's already irrelevant.

Wrong, it's dead tech. It's like saying people that don't buy HD-DVD drives are upset because the brands they buy don't make them.
Be very wary of eBuyer. They got caught rewarding their customer support team for denying refunds and returns not long ago and I had a bad experience with them that nearly cost me £180. They wouldn't have honored the refund if I hadn't had the IT manager where I work threaten to take the businesses sizable budget elsewhere.

I would like to counter that wall mounting is so 2007.
I'd love a curved screen. People slatting them. We all have different preferences. I've had a 50 inch flat screen for 6 years. I've viewed all the new tv's and the curve just looks more classy (too me) I don't like wall hung tv's think it looks so last century, like Adidas poppers

counter all you want, but once you open your eyes and look at latest "premium" "top of the range" TVs you will see the relevant ones are flat not curved.
curved TV was developed to wow simple minded consumers in 2014-2015 when TV sales were declining since true 4k and proper HDR was still in it's infancy and not ready.
just a market gap filler to temporarily boost sales.
seems like you fell for it.
lol
I have a 55' 4k Curved Samsung. Wouldn't change it for anything.

What not even a 65" one?

Certainly have, and it's a 65", and it's not on the wall - and it's epic.

Probably would. But for my living for, 55' seems just about right.
