Good one H/R for you:santa:

Any Amazon vouchers doing the rounds?

Looks that Samsung is trying to get rid of all their old high energy usage tvs quickly by reducing the price. Not such a bargain because for saving £20 today (against a Sony or low energy Samsung model), you will have to pay £100+ on electricity later. Therefore cold.

awesome tv.

got it for my gaming and popcorn hour. splendid. Yes, energy bills might be a bit higher, but hey, its bound to generate heat, so turn off the radiator in the room, turn on the tv.

Sorted!

Had one sent it back burrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring ,they replaced it ,with the same modle still ,very poor pic ! got a Panny ,so so better !!!!!!

Please give links if you are going to slam what looks like a good deal to most of us.

You can buy from amazon, play.com, Richard sound, John Lewis, Currys, Comet, they all have low energy lcd tvs for around £330 to £360 from Toshiba, Philips, Sony, Samsung, etc. You just need to do your research. Don't ask me to do it for you.

Lets not be silly now.
You quoted prices of £20 above the deal for a Sony with same spec, now, cos u have made it up, are trying to turn it back on me.
Looking at your previous posts all you ever do is 'put down' other peoples deals.
How about something constructive next time eh?

How can you say its a poor picture? Its only poor when you put in poor sources.

Ive got hd tv rips playing from popcorn hour through hdmi, and ill say, MY GOD, The first episode of Wallander (such a perfect hi definition rip from BBC HD) looked absolutely glorious on this tv.

Freeview is fine. Xbox is good, popcorn hour is good. Everything looks good on this tv.

If people think they are getting **** tv quality, then go look at your source. This tv works brilliantly, and notice how the white version got to the front page, and this one didnt. Fair do's, difference of a tenner. But, its almost the same television.

Good TV.
I recommend it!

All i can say is some peeps are easly pleased ¬¬¬¬¬:whistling:

Demon Hunter you reckon these 32" LCD tv samsung or sony would go down to £250 ish. I reckon £300 maybe.

19" are going for about £150
26" = £200
32" = £330- £400 - for the lowest model.

That would be quite a big drop if it does go down to £250 b jan

OK, I bought my low energy Sony for £339 from amazon with a 3 year warranty. This offer is not on at the moment but there has been recent listings from Toshiba at Comet etc. I don't remember all of them. Why don't you think it is a good idea to point out hidden costs to my fellow shoppers? You can still go ahead and purchase whatever you want. I am not telling you what you can or can't buy.

The Sony KDL-32V4000 for £329.99 a few weeks back was a real good deal - sadly missed it. With the 3 year warranty even better. The Sony is personally the one I plan to buy - but posted this for anyone specifically looking for this TV, as it seems to be the best price around currently.

And some people intend on buying a TV before Xmas as a very generous gift - so Jan sales are not an option.

OH MY ,you need help ,go to the optician ,then look at your TV when you get home !

Dabs have this for £309 but it might not be worth it... not taken it to check out so not sure of P&P... maybe worth a check.

dabs.com/pro…y=0

just noticed dabs are also doing this lcd for the same price

Bargs like theses have made me go from "Two HDTVs? One in the Bedroom?!?! I'll just grab som ecash from thr money tree then!!" to "Hmm, with a 360 Arcade as an extender*, wireless and one of these 32" bargains I could really justify a full HD setup in the bed chamber dear". This bl**dy site will be the financial undoing of me.

Hot, grudgingly.

*this would also give me licence, when people ask why I have a 360 in the bedroom, to proclaim in my best Alan Partridge voice "Yes! It's an Extender!!". I've wasted my life.

I have the LE32A456C.

Nice TV.

Yeah... looks like Dabs matches this price with the delivery inc. plus 2% thru quidco.

If any of you people find a 32" LCD tv Samsung or Sony for less the £300 please post it.
These are hitting in the low £300. if we want a really good bargain then it as to hit the £250 price margin.

Well for some of us and may be majority of us that dont celebrate christmas or want the tv for themselves then yea we will should wait Jan 2009.

Hope these electrnonic shops put prices down.

Well these will be 2008- old stock. Do you think we should wait when the new model comes out for the LCD tv for Sony or Samsung or buy In jan sale?

Also, I have this TV and it is fantastic, especially with HD sources.

However, there are some issues with faint bars running along the left and centre of the screen, although they are barely visible unless you are pretty close to the TV. Some people can't stand it though (see an old deal here: hotukdeals.com/ite…=11 )

On another note, does anyone have any good settings for this TV.... I've been searching around for some for ages, as have numerous people on AVforums without an answer!

Thanks,

er i think the majority of us DO celebrate Christmas.
Why on earth would you think not???? :?

Ordered & code worked fine for me. Thanks.

as mentioned, for an extra tenner you can get the A457 rgbdirect.co.uk/Pro…XXU

are u american.

I really don't see the new year sales doing a lot for the prices of recent/current TV models. These sales are often very over-rated and not so relevant to electrical items, in my opinion.

Most importantly, they don't really affect the web much, and the web is almost always cheapest anyway.

Good price for a good TV (and I'm not a "biased" owner, in fact I have a 42" plasma). Personally I prefer something with a longer warranty so would probably buy from Richer sounds etc. but voted hot.

Whilst i get where your coming from, just saying stuff like that doesn't really mean much to people...

Try giving an example. For the white version you say this is 180w againt sony's 100w, right then heres the math anybody feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

180-100=80w

people use a tv say 6 hours a day, so 80*6 = 480 (call it 0.5Kwh per day)
0.5 * 365 = 182.5Kwh per year...

depending on your energy tarrif, say average 10p/Kwh

182.5*0.10= this TV will cost you aprox £18.25 per year more than the sony to run, depending on your usage and your energy tarrif...

not really as big a deal as you seem to be making out is it

I'm holding out for a 32" Bravia when they hit £300
