Samsung LE32C450 32-inch Widescreen HD Ready 50Hz LCD TV with Freeview
just bought the above,a little cheaper but fantastic quality

530 is has a very low input lag for gaming and true 24p for Blueray film playback.
Although it suffers from a bit of lottery on the circuit board, so they are not all made equal.
Same price at Richersounds if you would rather local pickup/view one.

Aaarrgh... I wish they'd change the model numbers. Every tine I see LE### I think it's an LED.

Good spot though. Just need a LED so I can shut the doors on it at night.

The LED variant would be the UE40C5100, although try for 5800 or 6series if you can stretch your budget.

Opia. That's some stretch. I make it about 8" in total. Heheh.

good price, rather have the tosh … good price, rather have the tosh myselfhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-32RV753B-32-inch-Widescreen-Freeview/dp/B003FVAIF8/ref=pd_cp_ce_1

Better as it has Freeview HD.

It's worth the extra money for an LED and a 5 year warrenty > 40% save on elecy over LCD and I've seen too many of these flat panel TVs fail not to make a 5 year warrenty an absolute MUST HAVE!!!

Note the LE32C530 has an excellent media player built in, plays MKV's etc perfectly.

AVForums review here: avforums.com/rev…tml

Bought this from Richersounds as a Chrimby pressie for my boy, superb picture, have a 1TB hard drive hooked up to it, plays everything I've thrown at it!

Where have all the offers on Freesat TVs gone

It's been this price for a while at Amazon, since well before Christmas. I was tempted by some of the offers on similar specced Sony's, the Freeview HD version (C580) or even a cheapo LED TV but eventually just went with this one and so far I'm well pleased with it. It gets pretty good reviews and seems to be one of the best TVs at this price.

only paid an extra £40 for the LE40C580 last week ...still an ok deal especially if the built in media player is as good the the 580 model as that plays everything.

Question for the tech's, will this work in Italy, presumably the freeview part wouldn't but would the telly. Similar tv's much more expensive in Italy

Hasn't it been this price for ages?

It has been a low price for ages i bought it about 5 months ago at £310. Not much of a reduction

BUT

Very nice TV, very easy to set up. Plugged my PS3 into it for HD gaming which looks great! Also watched a few BluRays on it. To me the best feature is the USB slot on the side, if you have any movies on a hardrive and wish to watch them its so easy! literally just plug it in and you can search your hardrive for movies, what also supprised me is it plays pretty much any file types!! anything from .mkv .mp4 to .mov and .avi so versatile. Unlike PS3s which wont play many file types at all.

£300 is an absolute steal

Fantastic telly for GAMING. I purchased this set during Christmas and its the best TV Ive bought to date. As many peopl ehjave said, the fact that it can play almost every media type is just amazing.

I have alot of MKVs (1080p) on a hard drive which I play through this TV and they work with no problems.

Anyone know if this will work picking up a TV signal in France?

Is the 40inch worth the extra £80 for a budget living room telly?

Had this exact TV for over a year, the picture quality is pretty incredible. Especially on the PS3 with Blu-Rays. It has built in Freeview too, just started using it and the guide and quality is pretty nice.

I got my mine for £500+ with a nice warranty from Richer Sounds, If you need a 32", you can't go wrong!

sorry to jump in, but im looking for a 37-42" TV bargain deal? can anyone help?

Does this compare in any way favourably to the KDL32EX403 that I bought recently? It developed a stuck pixel in the first week and John Lewis are not being quite as friendly about getting me a replacement as I'd have liked. They don't have any more, and won't give me "like for like", in terms of giving me a replacement with equal features. They're basically offering me anything up to the same value I paid (299) plus 50 quid, which frankly buys me naff all from the Bravia range. Pretty miffed. Thoughts?

I would ask that question on the AV forum website

Take a look at the reviews on hdtvtest.co.uk (Sony KDL32EX403 / Samsung LE32C530). These were the two TVs I was looking at and went for the Samsung as it's supposed to be better for gaming. It also has a good reputation for playing just about any type of media file you throw at it through the USB.

It might also be worthwhile taking a look at AV Forums and have a read through the owners threads for the respective TVs.

do currys match JL's 5 year warranty

It looks good from the perspective of gaming, but I'd be losing internet tv, some inputs, DLNA, Freeview HD... seems a big drop in spec for 26ms of input lag?

I wish JL would be a bit more flexible in their replacement, I would have happily taken a 503 instead, but they won't give me that I don't think...

Ah well, depends on what you want I guess, unfortunately if extra HDMI slots & Freeview HD are important, then the Samsung LE32C580 that has them is £70 more at JL and you'd still not have internet TV if that's a miss too....

And no, I doubt JL would replace yours with the 503

Dude some good advice for you would be to pay the extra and opt for the samsung c650 model

I cant get the MKV files to play on here

any help anyone?
