My first recommendation so I hope it's to everyone's liking !

Noticed this a month ago on hotukdeals but at komplett.co.uk - and that was at £489 - this one at £439 now - plus about £14 or so delivery.

Not sure about Quidco and all of that as I'm new to this so maybe more savings through that?

its 2% cashback with quidco. seems a really good price i have been looking for a 32" but all the specs are over my head. i just want one i can wall mount and watch telly lol but the specs on this seem good to me

Good price for a very reasonable tv, I have the smaller one for my PC monitor, looks great and picture quality is awesome, even through a standard vga cable.

I can recommend this set, as I have the BD version. Cost me £720 last spring, so an excellent price now, even if it has been replaced by a more recent model.

£200 off what I paid last Feb for slightly older model, my Samsung set still going strong
Voted hot

is this kinda cheap for a tv like this?

or is it a old model or something like that

im not very up to date when it comes to tvs i still have the big blocky ones hahahha

This is a recent model, they tend to be all the same panels with slightly updated chipsets sometimes, newer ones should have at least 2 hdmi ports, but the aesthestic design is what changes mostly.

I'm very happy with mine, HOWEVER I made sure I went to see it, on display and tested it on scart and the hd demo in Comet before I ordered it as I wanted to be sure I liked it, I suggest you do similar to be sure.

pixmania usually are european models i.e non uk, so beware it might come with a 2 pin plug

2000:1 contrast ratio
r73 models have 5000:1
^Big difference...

I've just bought the similar one with Freeview from Dixons for £525. Posted a link here...

Its a continental model not a UK version, so not sure how you stand if Pixmania are crap at repairing it and you need Samsung UK. Samsung UK will only repair, under guarantee, other samsung equipment that has a european bloc warranty.
No guarantee, forgive the pun, that this set has one.:?

I wouldn't buy anything from Pixmania again.

Any problems and you have to get the product to them.... in France. I bought a 20" Toshiba LCD TV from them, and it had loads of dead pixels. They refused to pay the P & P to return it, saying they would only refund the money - Parcelforce wanted £67 - if they agreed the TV was faulty. Fortunately, I used my Visa card, and they were able to arrange the return and full refund.... but it took six weeks.

Remember that Samsung's new models are due out later this month, so if you must have this model it may be worth waiting a bit as they should go down in price a little further before they become obsolete.

Nice one! Thanks for the pointer richsdixon and the extra info all

If you check out the DSG website you'll see that they have a large shareholding in Pixmania. Not sure if that would help in the event of a problem but thought it might be of interest ?
