Good find suleyman.. Your link goes to the currys home page.. ]HERE'S a direct link..

EDIT: It's probably one of those time out links... D'oh

I bought this same but white one from Empire Direct for £450 at 3 weeks before Xmas but came after the New Year. (£500 reduced 10% pre-Xmas offer.). Then I paid another £10 for extending the warranty by another two years. So today's price at less than £450 is a good deal nevertheless. Picture is superb. The white is better than the black, less surface dust to look at.

Recently purchased after scouting around for best deal and spec.Very impressed with overall quality and ease of use. excellent gloss black finish, nice styling. Swivel stand ideal for quick adjustment.Excellent sound from invisible speakers.Very good high quality pictures.Remote handset will learn other makes and models of VCR and DVD players. 32 inches on this Samsung is perfect in my opinion and will take some beating! Good choice of LCD TV and many of my friends own one. 9/10

Can somebody kind enough to tell me which which one is better among Samsung & Toshiba. For Toshiba, specially there a deal going on at play for £429 with stand?

If you'd like a digital tuner then the LE32R87BDX is only £436. Got mine delivered next day from:

Which Tosh? I assume you mean the 32C3035D at that price, in which case the Samsung is a better buy in my opinion. That's Toshiba's entry-level 32".

Definitely a better buy with the digital tuner, even if you have Sky/cable.

Yes, i mean the Toshiba 32C3035D. My old TV is faulty now and looking for an LCD 32"/37". Also am in need of a TV stand too. So probably i will buy a 32"/37" Samsung and buy a TV stand for £20/£25 quid from Ebuyer option (free delivery) .

big price difference

yea bit price difference and they dont seem to sell that model at John Lewis??

For those who can shop at Costco, the 32" is on sale next week for £411.24 with 3 years warranty.
They also stock the 37" for £528 or £538 can't remember which.

I bought the freeview enabled LE32R88BD from Currys for just under £500 in May so I think this is expensive!

old! nooooo do not buy!

The one at Costco is the LE32R87BDX/XEU with Freeview built in.

So which one is best?

I guess the R87 from Costco, but I'm no expert!

Re: The R87 vs the R88... they're identical!

Dixons have a deal with Samsung that makes the R88 an "exclusive" to their stores. The only difference is the blue bit on the face vs a silver bit on the R87 or something silly like that. I guess the idea (by Dixons) was that their TV would look like a better model because it has a higher model number and since the R88 made it into reviews from What HiFi etc. people might avoid the R87 in case it was missing features.

I wouldn't recommend the R83 in this thread as it doesn't have the digi tuner. If you have cable/Sky you might be thinking "who cares" but it would limit your market if you ever came to sell the TV or if you ever got rid of Sky/cable or had to go without it for any length of time you might miss it.

I've got a 23" R88 and as you say it's identical to the R87 other than the (rather cool - I reckon) blue light that comes on when it's powered up. You can switch it off if blue's not your thing though!

dont forget the R88 comes with touch sensitive buttons on the side panel which the 87 doesnt have and no power button in the centre also

what about the m86 £510 with vouchers from dixons? 100 hz!
