What a troll, some people dont have space for 42" and samsung is much better than hitachi.

It's not fair comparing a 37" Samsung LCD though because Samsung don't actually make that size panel.

seems pretty good price for a 37" 1080p, actually cheaper than most 32" 1080p on the market at the moment (£400-£600), which I'm looking at for the bedroom, at £374 might be tempted to get this instead, any reviews?

Heat from Pete, good find OP

( note it's 50Hz )

Does anyone know why it's so cheap for the spec? Is it end of line? I'm looking to get a Samsung 37" LCD 1080p for my new gamesroom, but was looking at the series 5 or 6 ones, and they're £579.99 and £699.99 on Play.com. This seems much cheaper, but not compared the spec to the series 5 tv.

Are those comparison figures posted above correct?

The screen size difference between a 37" and 42" TV is only just over 4" in width and 2" in height. I thought there would be a fair bit more difference.

yeah, looks like this is a 07 model (well most thread discussions on AVF started in 07) so it's end of line/clearance, but the spec is loaded nonetheless (not much different on paper compared to current 37" 1080p tvs), very tempted at this price, but having difficulties fitting in my bedroom...

Cracking price. Wish I'd not bought the Toshiba 32XV555DB 2 weeks ago for £349 now.

I'd definitely rather have this.

are there currently any discount codes for eBuyer?

I bought the Hitachi 42" from Argos last week but I'm going to take it back tomorrow and order this instead, the 42" is just too big and I'm afraid the SD quality was too hit and miss for my liking, some shows with bright colours it worked well, others it went blocky and grainy....HD was quite good...although it did grain up a bit on older DVD's

Anyone who has this TV, would be great to hear your thoughts on the SD and HD (Full) quality?

the price online just changed form £374 to £399

Just phoned them apparently they have changed supplier (within 2 minutes) and thats the new price £399...they said it could come back down or it could go up....wasters

yep just noticed the price rise, because of the cheap orignal price was really tempted so spent the past 2 hours searching online for reviews & opinions, not going to buy it at the new price, it's the same price for the new model Toshiba 32" 1080p at amazon that I've been looking at, which is more practical size than 37" for my bedroom, eBuyer just lost a potential buyer.

LOL at "changing suppliers" excuse, showed 45 instock at £374 when I added to the basket, still showing 45 in stock at the £399, how's that possible changing supplier so faster eh? timewasters, stupid sales strategy.

Yeah totally agree, at £399 it's not a great deal by the time you add in postage as well...a shame also lost an order from me, was going to order the Buffalo NAS as well

Typical, was doing the pre-purchase research as well! Oh well, I'll keep refreshing the order basket until tonight.

Might be someone from ebuyer is using HUKD to gauge interest on this product and when they think people are going to buy they jack up the price?

If that's the case no one's gonna buy one now it's at £399 when it been down to £374. C'mon Ebuyer drop the price again and i might buy one maybe even two!

highly annoying :x

In my opinion it isn't really a good price for £399 for what you get in my opinion, £415 including postage (unless you go for free supersaver)..

Lots of sales have just started so I expect to see a few TV's coming up...someone could be after this model though in which case I guess its cheaper than everywhere else
