The Samsung LE40A786 Series 7 LCD TV offers a truly unique viewing experience. The Series 7 LCD is equipped with the latest LCD technology such as 100Hz Motion Plus, Full HD 1080p and Ultra Clear Panel.

Samsung's LCD 100Hz converts the amount of images intelligently from 50 to 100 frames per second by inserting a frame between each two frames. The inserted frame maintains the detailed motion characteristic of the video, and goes through motion estimation and compensation processing. Therefore, compared to a mere duplication and insertion of frames, more natural motion can be realised without undermining other characteristics such as clarity, brightness and colour.

An LCD TV's screen comprises of Polarisation filters that help reduce reflections. These Polarisation filters however can have an adverse effect on picture quality as they also block out light from the panel itself. Samsung's Ultra Clear Panel uses new uniform nano particles which can reduce reflection without affecting the Image quality of the picture.

Samsung's Smart LED technology achieves dramatic contrast and richer, more vivid colours, while at the same time using less power than normal LCD TV's. The higher contrast and bolder, clearer colours are a result of the multiple LED Backlights being able to partially turn on or off depending on the screen's brightness, thus, the black levels of the screen can now express actual blacks by shutting off the lights that normally produce greyish blacks.

What's wrong with Dabs? This TV is over £1100 in the shops.
