Thank you! I'm not very good at the posting bit!

I think you'll find that price is for the UE32C4000P the 32" model

It says also availible 40" Version Now 599.99 (plus vat)

Original Poster

Why has this expired already?!

expired because its the 32" model at that price and not the 40" as you quoted

Original Poster

It's definitely for the 40" model. I've got the makro mail in front of me now!!

no need to post again.. heard you the first time

I noticed while I was at Makro today that they have the Sony KDL40EX403U for £399 + VAT - and as I confirmed this evening Makro is one of the retailers taking part in Sony's "VAT back" offer, so all in it will be £399!

So do I go for this Sammy or is the Sony worth it for £50 more...

It has Freeview HD (which I'm not fussed about really) but what else makes the Sony a better tv?

Thanks

David

Triple Post

This looks good to me! May have to get up to Makro again!

40" at this price is a steal
assuming the staff in the store don't steal it
i mean buy it first

Im my Makro mail it's a 32" LED for £299 but it's only 720p...

Didn't see this in my mai.

My local Makro is Poole.

Tempted by this, does this play media from the usb? Anyone who has this have an opinion on blu ray playback and gaming? I normally would look this up myself but I'm posting from my phone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

here it is

It sounds good but no stores between Enfield and Birmingham means I`m in a Makro free zone.

Was going to post this, they have some in my local macro in Charlton, SE London (Greenwich).

Hot from me! Seriously considering it.

I was really excited about this deal until I found a thread on MoneySavingExpert, where there's confusion about whether the sale of goods act applies to Makro as they're a business-to-business warehouse only. People there talking about having to sue Makro to enforce their rights and having to post products directly to the manufacturer at their own cost. And I wonder if the EU's 2 year warranty for electrical goods applies to a B2B sale? Too much headache for me, sadly I think I'll pay the extra £40 and buy from Amazon or Dixons.

Here's the link by the way:

Just picked one up in Exeter - They have over 30 in stock when I was there - well cheap HOT DEAL

Just set mine up now, parents picked me one up in Preston. Excellent deal for a nice tv, thanks op

I just bought the tv a couple of days back, and lucky for me I have a makro next to a best buy so I took the offer to best buy and the price matched it and knocked 10% off it too

do they have any other 40" TV's on the cheap?

went to buy 1, these are limited stock scam, instead bought a sony,£479,00 realised that amazon have the sony at £439,I say this is just to attract custom,
