Flubit not worth it over a few quid. If it goes wrong you want to deal with amazon not flubit.

I purchased this at Christmas and it has worked perfectly and quietly everyday since.

Good Find, Heat added!

which drive is under the case?

Are there any better deals than this at the moment? Looking for around 2tb storage

Why not buy a standard 2.5" SATA HDD? Would also still have warranty on it.

They are far more expensive. It often works out cheaper to buy en external and then use the inside + you get a free case. A 1TB 2.5 hard drive was recently £40 on Tesco, you wont find that price for a hard drive alone. As for warranty, you can just put it back into the case or (I think) the manufacturer of the drive itself should cover it.

Hence why manufacturers are now soldering the drive on.

This 1.5TB drive works out to be £18.66 per 500GB, so if you're after the 2TB model (which I and others are), the £71.99 price tag isn't that bad (£18 per 500GB). My 640GB Adata drive is literally full, and need something more. Although saying that, I could just put the money by to purchase a NAS at a later date.

Just had my order cancelled by flubit, so lost valuable time relying on them. Now thinking is my other order going to be cancelled as well? Reliability is going to be a big issue with flubit, and their customer service isn't great as I just found out today. Delivery times are much longer compared to Amazon.
I like the idea though and wish them success...

Just handle the hard drive with care. Very easily broken, trust me

Network Attached Storage. Similar to a server, consisting of one or more storage devices such as HDDs,, SSDs Tape Drives, in a case with an operating system but no peripherals such as keyboard etc., Very useful if you have several computers that need to share files, even at home. Saves each user having to get bigger and bigger drives.
. Not a perfect description, but I think you will get the idea. Plenty of data online.
