Also the 970 nvme for £130
not been funny but these should be at this price as standard now, as the MX500 are £100 I just think Samsung are over charging for there drives to be honest and the MX500 is about the same speed and spec.

Sorry, but the reputation on these is greater and there has always been a premium against the Crucial drives. Please do some research, it doesn't just come down to specs. Really, it's an individual choice, you can spend less and get another very good SSD, that's perfectly valid.
Thanks OP, got it for £92 with the £8 top up deal.
All things being equal, the 860 Evo has a better warranty. The 860 Evo has 600 TBW for 1 TB model / 5 year warranty as opposed to the 360 TBW / 5 year warranty on the MX500. It depends on what your doing I guess, if any normal user will come close to the 360TBW of the MX500 is questionable.

I've been looking at getting one of these and its very very doubtful if you would be able to tell the difference between either dive in day to day use.
If you plan to use this in a work machine and move a lot of very large files around I'd go for the Samsung. Otherwise I'd go for whatever is cheapest and you'll never know the diferance.

Just google your make of laptop and check that it has a SATA interface and uses a 2.5” inch drive.

Good choice of disc by the way and a very competitive price. The size is good too and it should be quite a while before you run out of space. Traditionally these things used to be so expensive that you had to go with a much smaller size, which then meant you were in danger of running out of space fairly quickly depending on what you do.
Hmmm, currently have a 120gb for OS and a 250gb for my gaming in the mx500 flavour.
Was hoping for a 2Tb to hit the £150 mark, but this caught my eye.

Games are getting bigger and the 250gb means I have to keep uninstalling games all the time. Just trying to decide if to shell out £100 for one of these or hang in until I do a full build at the end of summer and use for my OS in a system build!? Hmmmm

Looks like Amazon UK gone in with a slightly better offer amazon.co.uk/Cru…h=1

Just need to decide cos it’s a lot of coin to just store games. Could put towards a new screen. Though 2tb should set me up for a loooong tim
£81.99 with the £10 Audible credit and £8 top-up bonus. So tempted.

EDIT: Ordered!

What's the difference between a samsung ssd qvo or a ssd evo says style? Will they both fit in same port in laptop or is it speed difference

Speed. QVO is faster than an HDD but not very good compared to a proper SSD.

Ok I see there is 2tb on prime day at 6pm but unless it goes crazy cheap will stick with 1tb evo then is it much better?

Personally I'm steering well clear of QVO. Ideal is still a combo of SSD for OS and whatever programs you want to access with speed, and HDD for more secure file storage.
