Thanks OP & Delta-V.
Using the 6 EUR top up and fee free card made this ~£54 for me!
Worth ordering the 1TB? Works out at ~£110 but OOS for a month or so.

That’s a great deal. I know prices will start dropping but that’s 40 quid less than Amazon UK’s prices.
Must be selling like hotcakes the expected delivery date keeps shifting.

Yes, came across that when I spotted but as you mention it's long wait. So, I just put that in the description cost around £113.95, if anyone interested in waiting ...

Even with prices set to drop the average price for the Samsung 970 Evo 1TB is 30 quid lower than its ever been on Amazon UK. That's the bargain here for the 1Tb drive- even if you have to wait a month or 2.
2 month delivery time?
Ordered!! Thanks! One more part ready for the build... another dozen to go!
Forgive me but what's for where does it fit? Am I being blond

It’s effectively an alternative to classical hard drives or solid state drives, but much, much quicker than a HDD (and lots quicker than a standard SSD but less noticeably).

The M2 NVME drives fit into M2 slots that some motherboards have (note the some). Even then you need to check what length (and width? Not so sure on that, I thought they were all the same) your motherboard can take as well as whether it support NVME, SATA or both.

This Samsung drive is M2 2280 which means it needs a M2 slot which can fit a 22mm wide, 80mm long NVME drive.

Otherwise it should work almost identically to any storage you might have in your PC/Mac/Linux machine.

(And this is a very good price)

OOS right?
Expired !!
Amazon support is so broken lol
Ordered from this deal when the delivery estimate was a couple of months away, just got an update that it should be arriving on the 2nd of September. I don't really have a system I want to use it in yet, but it's a pleasant surprise all the same.
Mine arrived today.
Will be replacing a Toshiba XG3 256GB which I've had for 2 years.
I'm fed up of having to archive stuff to keep space on that drive so decided to jump to a larger drive.
I also have a 3.8TB SATA SSD for data and a 5TB HDD for first level backups, but the boot drive still tends to grow in size.
I could prune it more but as it's used as a DAW it tends to need more space on the boot drive.

The Toshiba XG3 256GB may well be my last ever MLC drive.
