Amazon have been the cheapest place I could find for the 6 cell model for a while.

Until today this link was £268.59, and the other NC10 on amazon (exactly the same as far as I can tell) was £268.99 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-10-2-inch-Netbook-1-6GHz-Windows/dp/B001GZC8K8/ref=dp_cp_ob_ce_title_1).

Now they have left the darer one at that price, but reduced this one by £9.

The reviews I've read rank this as the best netbook available for under £300.

Will no doubt come down more in price. Windows 7 models due out in 2 days.

Will these Windows 7 models be available to buy in 2 days?

Where is the news release regarding this?

Seems like a great deal. Anyone know what the difference between the one priced at £269 and this one?

It's remarkable how expensive this still is. On release it was about 299 and there were deals a long time ago that were cheaper than that.

Also shows what a good machine it is. Neither hot nor cold.

This is the 10.1 inch model. The 10.2 inch model is £268.99

Got it!! 9 quid for an extra inch of screen if anyone else was wondering the same thing!!

You are probably better of waiting for the new netbooks that are on the way that have Dual Core Intel 1.6GHz Atom 330 processors and the Nvidia Ion graphics chipset.

fwiw, Amazon are also showing Hughes Direct are offering the new Samsung N130 for £231.95 inc delivery.

Entry level N130 has 6 cell 5hr 4000mAh battery life and no bluetooth.

But won't these models be around the £350 mark?

Even with the current standard specs soon to be superseded, the £200 MSI Wind Argos deal still seems pretty good – it's 3 cell but that's not a huge issue with me considering the price and my preference to buy from a store.

For the people asking, this one is slightly newer than the other listed on Amazon. This one has 800MHz memory and the other 667MHz, though I can't imagine it making much difference.

I love my NC10, and I paid £268 from ebuyer about a month ago! Loads of classmates at Uni have the Acer Aspire One, but that doesn't even come close to the NC10. Still the best netbook out there. The battery life is just godly.

All NC10's have Samsung DDR800 800 MHz RAM in them.

The chipset, though, only supports DDR667 so it's downclocked.

They use DDR800 as that's cheaper to buy than DDR667. They use whichever is cheapest at the time.

Good price but Samsung after sales service reeks of effluent. They really are terrible, I owuldnt buy another Samsung laptop because of it.

How long would i have to wait? I was considering waiting for newer technology to emerge.

But wouldn't it be really expensive as well?....

I have seen one out at the moment in asia, but it's expensive around £450, but is loaded with tech. I'm sure there will be other models at lower prices soon.

Thats a netty, lappy hybrid. Soon as you get bigger than 10" your getting into the realms of laptops! I would have considered the HP Mini 311 if it hadn't been delayed. Went for the NC10 instead, and I'm glad I did.

Why Glad? . I dont understand why people would buy this over the HP Compaq 311c with iON & only extra £39??

Only shortcomings of the Compaq 311c is the N270 processor and battery life. I guess the graphics more than make up for these shortcomings if you're gaming, but the increased bandwidth of the n280 would presumably help the graphics. Battery life also isn't up there with the longest runners. Overall very tempting though, wondering if I should change my mind which model to get.

You mean 0.1 inches, which is 2.5 mm. Which you would not be able to notice without a ruler! And I assumed they were each somewhere between 10.1" and 10.2", so just rounded differently.

Amazon after sales service is second to none though, they usually replace no quibble. Acer Lenovo and Asus after sales is equally dire and Dell can be hit and miss.

Just checked, and the Amazon price has dropped again - now at £249.97

Not sure if that's worth re-posting, or just ask if a Mod can modify the OP
