Does anyone have experience with this set? I saw this deal the other day, there was also a 10% code that could be used. I was sorely tempted but saw it was missing various features (titled as "Lite" instead) from the 800/900 - so I don't know if the trade-off is worth it. I was tempted to apply same deals to the 800, but it's a 65"+ screen. Too big for what I want I think

If this is going to be your everyday TV then don't bother, it's just lags on every button press so yes the "lite" processing is just another word for slow. I also have a 2018 Q8F and in comparison that 5 year old TV seems lightning quick.
I only use this TV for gaming and that's actually the kids taking over majority of the time and I only got this set because at the time the promo phone was S22 Ultra (which the Mrs was after(

Shame it's not the S23 as I would have jumped on this if so. Even if it was a bit more expensive.

It's in the description but not the title. Think a mod is already editing the thread as it won't let me

How does this compare to the LG G2 (edited)

It doesn't. This is the entry level 8k which by most accounts isn't great.

55" is kinda small for 8k but I'd be vaguely tempted I'd I was in the market for a new screen. not much 8k content around but would be good for high res pc gaming
    KieranL's avatar
What monster PC can run 8k?!?!?

I've only got enough room for a 42" TV. I'm still waiting for the paper thin models to come out that I read about 15 years ago.

This is great tv for the price. Cost me over £1400 (deal in 2022) with free s22 ultra ( i use it with ps5 and series x-120hz) on 4k, sharp picture, great collors, deep black (yes oled is little better) and perfect brightnes much better then oled..8k is good but there are only a few videos it's only gimmick now..
The cpu in the TV is in the lite version and it can sometimes be seen on the OS speed.. (edited)
