Seems to have dropped in price recently, was average cost of ~£30/month when I checked last week (maybe due to S6 release in one month's time?)

A good deal if you're not a heavy user... includes London Underground WiFi and tethering (don't forget to set a tethered connection as 'metered' in Windows 8 to save data - it's only 1GB!)

Note 4 for £150 upfront; 24-month contract with EE @ £18.49/month
average monthly cost is £24.74
(first year cost=£371.88; total cost=£593.76)

Out of bundle costs: MINUTES 40p/min TEXTS 15p PICTURES 40p VOICEMAIL 40p/min FREEPHONE 20p/min

Double speed 4G
Get double speed 4G that's even faster than most home broadband on 4GEE Extra Plans.

Free calls to 080 numbers
Calls to 080 numbers needn't cost you a penny more as they're included in your 4GEE Extra minutes.

Inclusive roaming
With inclusive EU roaming minutes and texts you don't pay more to call or text the UK when you're in Europe.

3 months early upgrade
With a 4GEE Extra plan, you can upgrade to your pick of the latest phones three months early.

£50 quidco by the looks of things as well - expires in a day though.

UPDATE: looks like the phone is unlocked too (works fine with my wife's 3 sim anyway)

use "EE20DISCO" for 20£ off the upfront price.

£50 I think.

Does it come locked?

It seemed the ideal option for me until I saw the upfront cost.

Probably, I'll let you know on Monday when it arrives. Maybe this unlock deal could help you? I'll be using it on the contract so I'm not bothered whether it's locked.

You can get deals for less upfront but you'll pay more overall (e.g. £50 upfront = £722 total cost)

Anyone know of a £10 or £20 voucher off that works?

clicking on the link price now gone up £36-99

When I powered it up for the first time it gave me a few different providers to choose from (EE/T-Mobile, Virgin, BTOP Roaming or BT) and, now that it is set up EE and my old number ported, the phone works fine with my wife's 3 contract sim... so I guess that's a yes? (Disclaimer: I'm no mobile expert)

is the same deal available on note edge?

I thought this EE 4G double speed thing was a gimmick or just some made up rubbish. It's not. Thankfully where I live the local mast gives me this speed. I've had my Note 4 since release day back in October 2014. It is an absolute gem of a device. You can use the GearVR with it, which just takes it to another level. You won't regret owning one. I'm amazed at how fast the 4G is on EE:

Hi, I've just bought a phone through mobiles.Co.UK and they have just sent me an email saying £30 off any upfront cost with an EE contact so although it doesn't help me, this might help people looking at this deal. The promo code I was sent is BEE315

hope the helps someone

Thanks guys - some really useful info there.

Do EE have the spying software on this device?

Good deal but no free texts is the deal killer for me. I wish I'd taken the deal from last week, £29 upfront, unlimited calls/texts and 1GB data, £29 a month on EE. Missed it

It is unlimited texts by the way

yeah thats cool, guy at work also has ee, on my o2 4g I only get a measly 45Mb/s 4g is cool though I can't imagine really needing more than 10Mb/s but I've found it so much more consistent than 3g

Unlimited texts on this offer.

On the lookout for a deal on a case now. Any recommendations?

Blimey I knew the Note 4's were big but I didn't realise they were that big! (Coming from a previous Note 1 and Note 2 user)

No the device is an unlocked variant, no different from buying it SIM Free. This means no network spyware or bloatware will be installed, and it can be used on any network.

mobiles.co.uk and e2save.com are part of Dixons Carphone (Carphone Warehouse), they use the same stock. All of their phones are unlocked SIM Free variants, no matter what network you choose, as long as the phone is not network branded (e.g. they once sold the Orange San Francisco (ZTE Blade) which was obviously locked to Orange).

I'd be interested in a recommendation for a case too. Is wireless charging worth looking at? Any other killer accessories? (Gear VR?? 8))

I bought a sim-free unlocked Note 4 from Mobile Phones Direct for the wife and it really is a nice bit of kit. Not as large as I thought either.

Hopefully the Lollipop update removes some TouchWiz stuff ...

brawlsadford

[quote=doolie] Is wireless charging worth looking at?

Yes. I have an S-View wireless case for my Note 3, expensive as phone cases go but it's an amazingly well made case and the wireless charging is extremely convenient - get into work plop it down on the Qi charger and pick it up and go when I want to go play candy crush on the toilet...err I mean when I've got a meeting to go to! But yes wireless charging is brill. If you don't want to splash out on a Samsung case you can get adapters:
amazon.co.uk/For…arg

And with them in a kit:
amazon.co.uk/CHO…kit

(I really recommend the Choetech stadium charger which is the one in the link above)

The 4g in this is ace, its quicker than my own wireless!!

Be aware that using a voucher can invalidate your cashback.

Cheers OP - been mulling over this and the Z3 and this is tipping point for me

Just hope it's not too big for me - nearly a full inch bigger than the comfortable Nexus 5 I have now...
How are these guys with 14-day returns?

Be careful though, with this deal and at that speed you can burn through your entire month's allowance in less than 2 minutes. Advertising those speeds and then giving you a 1GB allowance is an absolute farce.
