Ordered from them 1st Nov. 21st Nov now and still awaiting delivery.

1) Sold item when not in stock monies taken immediately. After purchase got the out of stock notification 3 days later. Went onto website and still selling with no notice of out of stock. Went all the way to checkout and aborted.
2) Chasing them up for update - 2 emails a week. Batch arrived but all handsets faulty apparently so further delays.
3) Promised new stock arriving on Monday 20th and will be dispatched - no stocks arrived and no update on why.
4) Raised another ticket enquiring about monies and stock - informed a further delay and now stock will arrive Nov. 30th.

I'd honestly say avoid - its too volatile and unpredictable. More headache than its worth personally speaking. They are amateurs and they may deliver to some but overall they are risky to use.

And yes the communication/customer service is non-existent. They close tickets without resolution

Can't we just ban this etailer already?

what exact model did you order? as i ordered the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 N950FD 6GB Ram 64GB Dual Sim SIM FREE/ UNLOCKED - Midnight Black around that period and mine came in 10 days

E global! Terrible.

Voted hot

Can't we just ban this etailer already?

Is it worth getting the N9500 over the N950FD
Whats the disadvantage in getting the Chinese version? Any Warranty issues on the N9500

info -
N9500 has N9500 : Dual sim, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 MSM8998 and a slightly faster processor

N950FD has. Qualcomm Adreno 540

Like the price but too risky with such a shady retailer.

The N9500 is 5mhz faster but the N950FD performs better and more energy efficient. It's a Exynos processor not a Adreno. The N950FD is also dual sim, or at least, you can get a dual sim version as I have it. The N950FD is covered by Samsung warranty in the UK, the N9500 isn't.
.
Incidentally I bought mine from here, it arrived in 9 days.

It would have been better to say the N950FD isn't using Snapdragon 835 SOC and is using Samsung's very own Exynos 9 Octa 8895 SOC and hence that's why the GPU (graphics) is different, so Mali-G71 versus Adreno 540.

I've personally had no issues with this retailer, and here are some reasons you shouldn't worry either:

1. They accept PayPal, so if you don't get your stuff, you can contact PayPal to get your money back. Just make sure not to cheap out and get the 'Insured delivery' especially since you're already getting a good deal. Their policy states that if anything gets lost in post when you're insured, the loss is on them. This is where PayPal will back you up.

(I seriously believe that everyone who's complaining have cheaped out on insured delivery and blames this retailer when its their fault since they could've just paid a little more for a guarantee.)

2. No import tax.
3. Get cashback form websites like Topcashback etc.

(I've personally purchased 2 Note 8s and a wireless charger from this retailer 1 at £650 and £620 all arrived within a day or 2 of the delivery stated.)

The Sd835 is not faster Benchmark scores are boosted by the overkill GPU.
The Exynos has superior number crunching and power management.

I was under the impression this was a global model.
I'm sure in previous post people posted this came with serials as the model sold by Samsung in the Euro zone.
I was just in the process of checking back through other threads.

I guess I'm not 100% sure if they were totally brand new, I did inspect the phones for any kind of scratches which there weren't any. Haven't had any software issues. Also I'm not the person who cares about the warranty so much since I like to root my phones.

Pretty sure I read before Samsung warranty only covers the region it was bought in.

Its based on the region code of the device so we can buy a European model and activate it in the UK and its covered.
Another member post that the model here in question is sold on Samsung UK.

There were previous threads where the warranty terms were quoted and I can remember someone saying they bought and successfully registered the device for a UK warranty.

I will search for it.

Best off emailing or calling Samsung uk to make sure

I've been into the Samsung store with my phone and they have confirmed it's covered under UK warranty. That is the N950FD which is the European model. The N9500 is the rest of the world and is not covered.

The phones arrive brand new and sealed, with a EU charger but they give you an adapter in the parcel as well.

That is always an option, at the price I will do a little homework and find the Info.

Thanks for the info

Does this have the snapdragon 835 or exynos CPU?

I've bitten with insured delivery. I consider myself a reasonably conservative shopper so I'll report back when I receive the goods. If I do!
