Samsung Note 9 128GB sim-free £699.99 Possible £459.99 (price-match John Lewis + Samsung trade-in cashback)

This is very similar to the pre-Xmas deals, which included John Lewis price-matches for the S9/Note 9 and £100/£150 cashback respectively from Samsung, so credit goes to those deals.

In a similar vein, fonehouse currently have the 128GB Note 9 (brand-new, sim-free) for £699.99. John Lewis will price match them as they have physical stores.

Currently, Samsung are running a trade-in promotion with up to £200 cashback for an S7 Edge, lower amounts for older Galaxy Sx variants. This is only from certain retailers, similar to the pre-Xmas promotion, and includes John Lewis. Cashback values listed here.

So in total, potential price-match for £699.99, with varying cashback to a lowest potential £459.99 with an iPhone 7 Plus trade-in.

It's not quite as good as the deals available before Xmas and there are cheaper prices on eGlobal etc, but this will be UK spec with full warranty, and therefore might be of interest to some.

i need an iphone 7 plus to trade in, to 'potentially' get this price?

You need to add the price of that phone on top else it's misleading?
Sorry, to make this clearer:

1) Submit a price-match with John Lewis, to match the fonehouse price. They will match it as fonehouse do have physical stores.

2) Buy the phone from John Lewis and claim the price-match refund. This will mean your total outlay is £699.99 so far.

3) Trade-in an old phone with Samsung to claim further money back, amounts vary according to the phone you're trading in, only relatively recent flagship models count I'm afraid. Maximum trade-in you'll get is £250, thus the lowest possible price is £459.99

Hope that makes it clear.

Possible? It is not actually a deal as such as you need to submit a qualifilying Item to receive it and not everyone has them. I would put in the original price and the trade option in brackets.
I don't understand, you're buying the phone from John Lewis but sending some other phone to Samsung, what if you ain't got a flagship phone worth 250 quid? It means you have no chance of getting this phone for 459.99.

Correct, that's why it says "possible" in the title.

That's because it's since been edited with the full price added

Maybe someone has a source for some cheap phones to trade in and can share? If you don't already have a phone that qualifies of course

The mods edited it from the original title .

I feel the original post was fairly clear, but have written above to hopefully make it clearer. Apologies for any confusion/misconception about the available price.
I'd rather pay full price.

Yeah fair enough, i think the iPhone 7 plus whilst giving the most cashback isn't the best option if you have more than 32gb as you should be able to get more selling it yourself.

I agree, upgrading from an S6 for example is a better bet as you'd notice the difference more and around £150 for an S6 isn't bad.

You can get a working iPhone 7 from xs items ebay for £170, trade in value of £230.

Saves you £60, but I don't think this is a deal as it stands, unless you have and old iphone 7 plus, that you are currently shifting on.

Good bit of detective work though op.

Wouldn't it be £449.99?

I cant understand why they dont allow u to trade the Samsung S8 in as part of the deal only up to the S7.
