Great Price????
Been looking for a while.....this seems to be the best price for the package

Shame the White version is £50 more

I bought one for £350 ish in December with £50 cash back and free tab. Just sold the camera today on ebay as I couldn't get on with it at all.find the tablet pretty crap too,I have a total of 4 apps downloaded onto it and it states its too full to update. Its now lying in a drawer and will probably not see the light of day again!
Bought a samsung galaxy camera instead.

I'm sorely tempted. Punt the tab for £120 and you have a lot.of camera for for the money

Amazing deal IF your in the market for both items or if your willing to off load the camera or tablet on ebay and end up with a very cheap item!

yes soldmine prefer the panasonic tz30
the nx10 was good

I went for this deal before Xmas, very happy with both items.

Have you had any problems with storage on your tab??
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with mine, have an ad card in it but nothing will save to it.
Everything on the tab but nothing will update as it states there is not enough storage.
Have a couple of apps on it but that's it so I feel its pretty useless!

'We tested the NX1000 with the Samsung 20-50mm II, which has the built-in i-Functionality but only a plastic mount and more crucially no optical stabilisation, important as the NX system doesn't offer in-body stabilisation. '

Can anyone confirm if this still falls withing the Samsung £50 cashback promo period, little confusing on their T&C's, presume ended on the 9th Jan even though it says claims must be received by the 9th Feb 2013... anyone ?

great deal, if you're looking to buy both.

It means on cameras bought up until the 9th. You have until the 9th of feb to submit the claim.

Thanks, good deal- lots for the money. Is the technology worth it, though?

Some one correct me if I'm wrong ... I believe you had to purchase the item before end of Dec 2012 and then claim must be made before 9 Feb 2013.

Scorching!!!

Saw this earlier; was severely tempted. I have no use for the camera but I can't imagine it'd be too difficult to sell both for a small profit!

have you tried putting it back to factory settings, then do update and see if that resolves any issues.

Everyone else presume the claim for cashback period has now expired based on this extract from the T&C's? Presume purchase had to be on or before the 9th Jan 2012??
Promotion Period
"2. The Promotion will commence at 00:00 (GMT) on 18 October 2012 and shall close at 23:59 (GMT) on 9 January 2013 (the “Promotion Period”). All completed claims must be received no later than 23:59 on 9 February 2013."

The promo has finished. You had to buy before 31st of dec for the £50 cashback. I got both the camera and tablet and had NO issues with either device. The camera works perfect put 64gb SDXC card in, messed with the settings. I love the remote viewfinder ( can take pictures remotely without physically touching the camera). The auto upload is nice too for social websites. Pictures are pretty amazing too. Obviously you need a pretty big card (like my one) if you want to do RAW images and loads of full HD video. Still an amazing price OP, without the cashback. Paid £399 at xmas (£50 quid cashback and £30 from tablet). £320 perfect. HEAT OP!

The only thing i will say is make sure you have a fast memory card. I got 30Mb/s. Really a 45Mb/s would have been better but my 30Mb/s works perfectly fine.

Thanks,I did have a quick look yesterday but lost interest as I find it quite slow. Will have a quick look again tomorrow,it will be handy for kids to play games on I suppose.

This IS a good deal, Guys! If you don't need the Tab, stick it on eBay!! I've done it twice! Sold the first Tab for £149.99 and the second for £159.99!! So, if you don't need the Tab, sell it and if you do need one, even better!!!

Having looked extensively for a camera before Christmas, I ended up with a Sony NEX 5N. However, I think my findings apply for those contemplating this, or the cheaper NEX C3 currently on HUKD.
If you are looking for video recording capabilities, the NEX series are the ones to go for. There are various videos on Youtube that show the NX1000 focus searching constantly during videos. It effectively pulses back and forth...and is VERY distracting.
The screen is also fixed, and the shot to shot time is seriously let down by the very slow system write speeds (nothing to do with the SD card speed ... it just seems to have a sloooow processor or something!).
Although the sensor size is nominally the same as the NEX series, its performance isn't really that close. It exhibits noise at much lower iso levels, which can be distracting and limiting (after all, why get a camera with a huge great sensor if it isn't actually that good in low light? It essentially means when an NEX camera is on the verge of looking blurry, the NX1000 definitely will be!)
In its favour, the Samsung lenses seem well built and compact - and their lens roadmap seems much more coherent. Though with that said, there is an absolute dearth of information or noise from Samsung's mirrorless camera imaging department. It's as if they have given up.
I agonised for a while over which to go for. I decided that wifi remote was a gimick, and that the video and actual camera performance of the NEX line made it a far better choice.
This'll be find for daylight shots and shots that don't require the impressive focus speeds of the NEX series (or a dedicated DSLR) - but for anything more demanding, I would save your shillings. In my view, it's cheap for a reason...

Get what your saying to a point! But remember this camera is circa £180 after you sell the FREE tablet with this offer, it's a NO BRAINER for someone wanting a mid range camera on a budget.

It has to be purchased from AMAZON.CO.UK not a reseller to get the FREE tablet thus the £300.

Did some research on this and seems to be between £250 - 270, take into account Ebay and Paypal fees, play it same and presume £ 220 nett,. Equates to £80 for the Tablet.

not worth doing for the tab.. your better off spending more on another model!

i want the camera!

if i did not buy the nikon j1 i would have def taken this deal and sold the tab, such a hot deal...but i got the j1 twin kit for £220 and sold a lens for £180 getting camera and lens for around £50-60 after fees....this is still temping me tho!!

Just remember those people wanting the white version, they only make black lenses,so your better off with the black version

I sold mine today for £260 but I put a buy it now on,don't think I would have got more though if auction. Mine was only a month old.

only pink and the full whack black set left from amazon now,boo

Great camera. I paid £429 for mine including 20-50mm and 16mm lenses, the Galaxy Tab, and have just received the £50 cashback (pre-paid credit card). I use the NX1000 whenever it is impractical to carry my DSLR, which in truth is more often than not.

I sold the Tab 2 for £171 and 16mm lens for £140 on Ebay just before Christmas, making £294 after fees. With the £50 cashback it means I paid £85 for the camera and 20-50 lens. This is/was a great deal from Samsung.

For anyone wanting to add lenses, the 30mm F/2 is really nice. I purchased this separately, but it is well worth the investment and is the lens I keep on my camera (never really use the 20-50mm, just use my legs to zoom in and out). I also purchased a 50-200mm OIS zoom, but that went back to Amazon because IQ and focus speeds were shockingly bad compared to the 30mm and even the kit 20-50.

Summary of the lenses I have tried.
*16mm - Nice and wide, but soft edges. Quite a lot of distortion if you turn camera correction off.
*20-50mm - Nice range and very compact for a zoom. IQ at 20mm equaled the 16mm lens, so I did not see any point in keeping the 16mm. 20-50 is good enough for most occasions.
^30mm - Superb lens. Every bit as sharp as the Canon L lenses I use on my DSLR.
*50-200mm OIS - Perhaps I received a bad copy, but I found this to be unusable. IQ and focus speed was just plain awful and the OIS optical stabilisation came nowhere close to Canon IS lenses.
