Samsung omnia HD (i8910) FREE on dolphin 30 (£29.36 pm, 24month) @ BuymobilePhones + £20 quidco

This is my first post so be nice....

The i8910 is one of the hottest phones arround, features include HD video recording (720p) at 24 frames per second, 8mp still camera, 3.7inch AMOLED touch screen and TV out.

This phone is FREE on a 24 month dolphin 30 contract (29.36 pm) and 49.99 on the 18 month contract. The 24 month contract includes unlimited texts, 500mb browsing and 600 cross network mins while the 18 month version includes 400 mins. buymobilephones.net will also give £20 quidco for signing a new contract.

Orange will charge you £129.99 for the phone on the 24 month package while carphone warehouse will ask for £199.99 on an 18 month deal, both dolphin 30.

This is my very first post so if you feel the need to slate my post and vote cold i'd apreciate reasons or comments. And just so you know, I have bought one of these myself to replace my iphone 2g.

*edit* link fixed...

gonna vote cold,

24 month contract is far too long, plus u get no internet.. which i assume u have to pay another £5 for each month

£684.64 over the course of 2 years, which is a lot of money for a phone. A digital camera around about £280 will record in HD and do a better job taking photos

Yesterday's Omnia deal got shot down in flames so I expect this will get cold too. People just don't like 2 year deals. I've just signed up for a KM900 on a 18 month contract and that's long enough (this is the 1st time I've gone on a 18 monther, I usually stick to 12).

I looked at the Omina for a recent upgrade (2 weeks ago) but got warned off by both Phones4U and Orange as there was apparently some kind of flaw with the phone that lead to stock being recalled - not sure how true this is and if so, if its been resolved

Possibly worth enquiring about before taking this one forward

The firmware flaw has apparently been fixed, they did stop selling the phone for a time. In response to the first post the phone includes 500mb web browsing each month, which i'd say is fine if you don't use the phone as a modem.
