Well in that case they are not doing a real price matching. As you pay the same price but you get less for your money

live chat confirmed that XTRA30 doesn't apply to this offer

it did yesterday, they took it off probably due to the traffic off here

Richer Sounds will do the bundle for £989 with 6 year warranty.
This may be worth a try if RS don't include the 450/550 : Hw-N300 £99 cashback

Richersounds told me that don’t have the sound bar and aren’t willing to match as they say that the current global issues are uncertain and they dint want to create an issue with people ringing to chase?? That was via the sakes line about 4pm

Have you placed an order? Just called RS and I have been told the same as the others: no stock on soundbars. So it's unlikely that they will do the bundle, at least for the days to come

Just did what I typically do and don't stop once I've purchased. RS got 68 soundbars in stock about 15 minutes ago, 31 outstanding orders, my order, I make that 36 left. Deal is valid at £999 with soundbar (on their system, no price match no extra £10 etc.) Ring and ask they just processed mine. £9.99 to make the soundbar 6 year guarantee too. Now to cancel at Hughes.
He also told me the deal is direct from Samsung, not something any of the stores made up, so I'd expect Curry's etc. to get it too if / when they have stock.

Yeah I placed my order with someone called Dave. He said the sound bars weren't in stock but that they'd just follow when they got them.

Great! Just called 1 hour ago and explained to John what you told me, and he found indeed the hidden stock. Order placed, £989 for the bundle with RS, so 6 years warranty. Cracking deal!!

Is this worth the £100 more than the QE55Q80R that most places are doing for £899 with the soundbar?
oh i am torn now. C9 or this. After see the reviews of the picture quality in gaming mode i was all for oled but at this price im tempted.

one connect box, different stand, brighter sceen, some say more dimming zones but not 100% on that

I just ordered this on laptop, went through payment option, looked like it was authorising, then went to order summary which is the option after make payment. But did not say payment accepted, no order code, no email from them, checked my balance with credit card and it’s not showing on there. I’m assuming something went wrong, should I do it again from my phone ? Or will this result in 2 orders?

Thanks for info. I bought the QE55Q80R which I’m really pleased with. As always there’s a better deal around the corner! Not sure whether it’s worth me swapping

£300 is a fair amount. Stop trying to be smart with your last bit.
So what's better in real life: high brightness of QLEDs or deep black of OLEDs? I've got quite bright room during the day, so I think higher brightness would be better.

I much preferred this over the OLED when I viewed them all in Curry’s a few months ago.

Well, you'd appreciate the Black's more at nights in suppose. I think FALD on Samsungs in real life is not that bad as in specific tests, you can find on YT.
I would have thought a higher-end TV like this would have pretty good sound without a soundbar although it's good to have one for movies.

The problem is as the screen is so thin the speakers can only be a certain size which limits their ability.

And they're down-firing as well instead of facing you which doesn't help.

Soundbars aren't perfect either, poor in the mid-range which makes dialogue hard to hear, though that's also partly to do with sound mixing for movies where they're mixed for cinemas and dialogue is lower in the mix than for TV shows, so you're always turning them up for conversations and then down again when there are explosions, gun battles etc.

Just bought the QE55Q80R with the same sound bar for £899 and I can honestly say the tv and sound-bar are brilliant, picture quality is superb and the sound to match, the sound bar is just a bonus however it doesn’t do the best for midrange sound so going from certain applications you have to adjust the sound to hear people speaking. If you play around in settings then you should be fine. Other than that it’s definitely worth the purchase!

Same here, really pleased with the deal. Not sure the 85R is worth the extra £100 for a few extra settings (frame rate adjustment etc) & connect box

Totally agree, I was however tempted to purchase the 2020 model but I didn’t want to stretch the budget to £1599 when the Q80 is a brilliant tv anyway, I was upgrading from a 55Mu6400 so it’s a massive upgrade, cant go wrong with Apple TV and screen mirroring either

I purchased mine from richer sounds, they originally had it on curry’s and John Lewis but they wasn’t in stock anywhere in John Lewis and curry’s changed their promotion deal so you received a Samsung Hw-Ms550 instead or the Hw-R550 which I personally wanted as it comes with a wall mount kit.
