For any particularly brave folk out there, I've read this can be physically cut to 2230 size for a Steam Deck...

How do I tell if my PC will support one of these??
Check for a m.2 slot on the motherboard or check the manufacturers website

Bargain price. Be wary that these run hot though, I have one from the same seller and it's used as a thrash drive for downloads, it was going into the high 80's before adding an aluminium heatsink (now hits 62.C max).

I believe this is the OEM version of the 970 Pro or Evo, not 100% sure but that's what came back when I Google the model name.
The performance figures are far too low for either of those though (the PM981a is much faster) and they use the whole length of the board for circuitry. This one is really a 2230 model extended to fit a 2280 slot (hence why it can be cut down) (edited)

Says new but these the one in the image have had the Dell sticker removed.
I would hope it will come in some sort of packaging which shows it is new

I was looking at putting this into my laptop but would this require a heatsink?
M.2 SSDs pretty much never *require* a heatsink. PS5 made it more common I guess.

Seems they have increased the price now!
Yes, I just bought this for £19 the other day

Is this essentially the same? May purchase as it’s slightly cheaper!

Bought, fitted, working perfectly and yes, it IS a Samsung. And a ONE DAY delivery - for me, at least !
