To add to this, isnt true HD 1280*720?? 1024 seems a little off?? I could be wrong..

This is cheap for the particular model, although I don't know how good it is. I don't think you can compare it to a Promax model and say there isn't any difference for £130 more...

Expensive for a plasma? You mean its £50 more than for an LG? Do you know how many problems people have with LG Plasmas?? Seriously?
No offence, but its like saying...Denby..£50 Set....Cold...its expensive for some plates.

Samsung are the 3rd best company for Plasmas really, behind Pioneer and Panasonic. And that resolution is normal for a 720P Plasma. Pioneer Plasma is better than any LCD you will find for pic quality...and that is 720P too

Also, I dont think an ex shop display PROMAX is a good price comparison

your comparing the samsung with them two above?? you having a laugh or just dont know anything about plasma tv's? Thats a very good price for that tv, so definately hot.
digital direct incidently are selling the same tv for 593 delivered too.
depends which retailer you prefer.

its around that price everywhere though?? If you pop it into google shopping lots of places have it within a few quid of it without looking at quidco.

I would hardley say saving £10-£12 off something this expensive is a hot deal ???

You should have said that 1st time around then ;o)
I didnt say it was hot either:thumbsup:
I just refuted your claim as to why it was cold....
that you could buy an LG or an ex-display strange brand for £50 less.

lol promax...

hd ready means min 720 vertical lines

full hd means min 1080 vertical lines

my pioneer kuro is 'only' 1024x768 but is miles better than any 1920x1080 tv.......

tech stats arent everything - its like deciding to buying a sports car based purely on the 0-60 time, forgetting handling/reliability/quality/looks should also be big considerations

Mate, ur philosophy is absurd. Its like saying a car is a car, and why buy a merc for £25000 when u can buy the same reg model of focus for £6999. Voting u cold.....in the cranium.

I decided against the car analogy this time.
However, its more like judging a car on its bhp than its 0-60. at least 0-60 is a true indication of performance

i posted a deal on this tv a few days ago from dixons after quidco was £565 delivered but only got 1%,this deal here works out dearer as no quidco and gets a lot higher heat, same tv just dixons change the model number to stop pricematching
