(My first deal, hope it's ok)

Great price for this 50" Plasma.

Not 1080p, but still a good deal in my opinion.

I have the 42 and its a great set.

I had the previous Samsung range 42", bought from JL in March?

It had an issue with football viewing (was a known issue, has been fixed now so current range not affected) JL replaced my TV with a brand new, current range replacement.

Overall I found the JL customer services to be excellent (they even had a Samsung engineer over the day after I reported the fault)

I am not affiliated with JL, but I find the warranty deal and customer services to give the peace of mind I need.

Great set (although I can only speak for the 42" version) and great price.

got my dad this a few months back, same deal from JL, all good

shame its a plasma
give me a 50 lcd at a bargin price

whats the diffrence lcd and plasma?

which one is better?

All down to preference really.

Personally, I used to be into LCD, I had a Sharp 42" 1080p set, but the picture was poor on Sky Standard Definition (SD).

I now have a Panasonic Plasma, which is 720p, and is far better at displaying SD images - which is 90% of the content I watch.

You'll find that most gamers prefer LCD over Plasma, as they're commonly better at displaying graphics.

for those who think that we are at the beginning of a price war re. TVs:

don't forget that the pound has recently decreased in value against the dollar, euro and yen to such an extent that unless the television is manufactured in the UK, further big discounts are unlikely, except to clear old stock...

yup, got a 42 samsung lcd now, and i want a 50" and its purely for the 360 and ps3, ive seen plenty of plasmas and none compare to a lcd for the ps3, but as shown u can pick up a plasma for half the price of a lcd, and u still have the concerns of plasma screen burn

Pretty much a thing of the past, my friend.

^^ wish that was true, but still happens even with the latest technology.

I haven't heard of anyone recently having screen burn on a newer Plasma as long as they're following sensible precautions - some minor image retention yes, and that disappears in seconds.

I prefer a Plasma picture to an LCD personally. Richer colours and deeper blacks. I compared PS3 on mine to my brothers Sony LCD and mine blew his out of the water.

Also, I find Plasma to be much better on SD, which covers 90% of what I watch.

I have owned a Panasonic Plasma and now own a 1080p Sony W2000 LCD, and I must admit that given a blueray the Sony LCD looks amazing, but 99% of the time I am watching standard def programming (freeview or Sky) which looks rather pants on the LCD, when it looked really good on the Panasonic Plasma.

If you watch lots of Blueray and play lots of Xbox/Ps3 or have Sky HD then an LCD is the way to go, but if you watch lots of freeview or SD Sky, then a Plasma might be best for you. I would not worry about burn in these days, it never happened to me and my Panasonic Plasma was used everyday for a number of years.

great deal with the 5 yr g/tee - out of stock for now - ******:?
