Sooooo tempted.

£902 with cashback is madness

I can't believe how cheap these TV's are getting! I remember about 6 or 7 years ago when 36" Toshiba CRT TV's were £1300!!!

HOT!!!

But is 50" big enough to get the proper 3D effect....

code 7750 excludes all Tvs over 32" and ipads

These orders will just get cancelled

wooowwwww !!!!!!!!

I'd try this set before you buy it. Ive tested pretty much every 3d set now except the Panasonic one which is £1700

This one is by far the worst 3d you can buy, hence the price.

Far too much Ghosting on 3D content (where image for right eye is still visible in the left eye)

my god they are coming down !!

Thats crazy. They are certainly coming down!

Let me guess, you tried it out in currys who are running the 3d demo on a USB stick, which is poor quality, and also they have the tv where there is way too much flourescent lighting?

For anyone wanting to demo this TV ask them to move it where there are no flourescent lights and get them to show monsters and aliens 3D Bluray
, only then can you judge this set.

This TV is the C7000 in a different ( Fatter 2.8" Shell instead of the 1.4" )

Depends on how close you are to the TV. ideal position is 2 times that of the screen size away. Any closer than that and the 3D wont be as good quality and depth wont look right to your eyes

Sweet point for 50" is probably between 100-120" away so you need to sit least 2m away for the TV id suggest 2.5m as perfect position.

Another note is the eye cant detect details of HD any further away than 2.5 times greater than a TVs size.

TVs are funny things and very much each person has different levels of what they find acceptable.
I personally would avoid this TV and look to spend at least double that on a TV but my wife would be more than happy with this setup.

When it was £949 the other day, people were getting their orders cancelled due to lack of stock. I want to vote hot, but I'll need to see if anyone gets one first. Great deal if it comes off though.

Are you guys not even remotely concerned about how this tv performs? It's like the the only thing that matters is that it's 3D. Samsung make poor plasma, note that.

Hi jayjay... is that a statement of fact or speculation? Is it listed in the T&C's somewhere on the C website?

Sorry but this statement is rubbish. Bought this package 6 days ago on the original Currys deal. Watched Sky 3D and played Motorstorm 3D on the PS3 and no ghosting at all.

Thats because he demoed the set at currys where they run it off a USB Stick in low resolution, i saw it myself, different story when they play a proper bluray on it.

Ignore him, he clearly doesnt know what hes talking about

True what you say about this tv and people on here voting hot or buying the tv without knowing nothing about the set but this is a shopping site not av forums. Samung make good plasmas dont know where you got your info from mine won lots of awards and the new 6 series get good reviews ?

Seems to me that the marketing boys at these manufacturers haven't done their homework properly because 3D hasn't caught on very well with Joe Public. Personally, I wouldn't like to sit in my lounge with these funny glasses on to watch the relatively few 3D movies that will come out. Maybe other people think as I do. I wonder what the next "Big Thing" will be?

+1 I agree its a great tv, and i love playing wipeout on it.

great deal

FACTS ;

a) ALL plasma screens are made by Pansonic since 2008

b) Plasma is 1000x faster than LCD screens

c) LCD have poor response rate, very poor black levels, and very poor grey scales ( you cant even calibrate them they are that bad )

Hasn't caught on well yet because of the price, and it's not been long since people have taken the plunge into a HD or FULL HD set, maybe you wish this 3d lark will go away, but i think its here to stay.

Won't comment on the other 2, but the bolded comment is incorrect, samsung still make their own screens

Does it include a Free iPad ??

Don't know how good this TV is, but I recently bought a Samsung LE40C750 and have to say I'm very happy with it, minus a couple of features and being a plasma it seems to be a very similar tv, I'll say hot.

Wipeout will be my next purchase on PSN. Can highly recommend Motorstorm if you haven't tried it? At £9.99 its snip.

I thought the same until I took the plunge. When watching 3D content you forget your wearing the glasses. Thats said the Samsung glasses are much easier to wear than the Sony and Panny ones I tried at Currys.

Don't forget you can claim a 4th pair of glasses free from Samsung-Connect when registering your serial number.

I love reading these TV arguments. LCD is sh*te, Plasma rules, LED isn't really LED blah blah blah, same every time.

You miss my point. When I watched a demo in Comet,Curry's, whatever, I was impressed! However, I've heard a lot of people say what I commented that they (and me) wouldn't sit with those glasses on. The very fact that there has been a big price drop so soon after the launch does indicate that these TV's aren't in such demand. I hope I'm wrong and that they bring out "glassless" 3D TV's.
