These set's are plagued with problems, image retention, poor blacks, ALL lose sync with glasses during a 3D film.

Yep avoid plasma.

Nothing wrong with Plasma, however this year and last year no one has made a decent set, half the problem is all this energy saving nonsense the manufacturers have to stick to has introduced unwanted side effects.
I have this set! Its awescombe i tells ya!!! I absolutely love. My mate has a 200hz Led Regza and mine **** all over it. Great price for a very set, albeit last years model. 3d on these is great.
I have the set too, bought in January and never had a issue. If I was truely honest I do sometimes lose sync for half a second maybe once per hour but I can live with that. Image retention was evident during the first 1500 hours burn in but now not a problem, maybe the recent 1005 firmware sorted most of the little issues.
At the price its a bargain for a 50 inch tv so for a 3D tv its not bad at all. I paid £800 for the tv, 3d bluray, 2 pairs of glasses and the Shrek 3D boxset, so I have not lost much value in 9 months - tech wise, more depreciation rate on a Nintendo 3ds.
I have the C7000 and I'm fighting to get a refund on it, the blinking on and off and also the losing sync with 3d are faults that cannot be fixed.

Stay away from the C series.
Avoid like the plague, last years 3D plasma's were as people have pointed out plagued with problems. If you want a 3D plasma go for a Samsung D series which come with bluetooth glasses which never lose sync and also the TV's have improved tenfold!

Check out this link on avforums to see just how bad this set is - hundreds of disgruntled customers who have gone through months of constant repairs and still can't get anything fixed!
