Excellent deal, QLED rules the high end TV market. If your budget is around 1k, OLED might be a better choice.
I'm waiting for it to go down in price more. I game mostly. So for me personally it's the best choice. Don't get me wrong I've seen Oled. They are brilliant TVs. But for me. Burn in just a no no. Not at them price's they want. I should not have to babysit the TV considering the prices they want.

i have a C8 oled and it really dosent need babysitting, if you leave Cbeebies on for 6 hours a day and dont change channell then you might get burn in, but for 95% of people you will never have an issue

I wouldn't have to worry about news logos/kid programs at least. It's more game hubs. Don't get me wrong I change what I play alot. I can't stay playing the same thing. That would drive me mad.

I game alot myself played apex legends and Borderlands 3 last night for hours with no issue at all, do these get burn in YES but just like anything most of them there will never be any issues at all and for half the price of the top QLed its a no brainer when i purchased, pixel refresher and other tools help to stop this problem, also for gaming the LG c8 has a very low input lag of 21.3 when in 4k hdr, places like Rtings recommended anything less than 40ms to be fine

That's cool. I'd probably go for the C9 if I was to go for a Oled. I'd like the 2.1 HDMi. For next year with the new Xbox coming out.

yeah that's pretty much the only difference between the c8/c9, but prices at the moment for the c9 are insane but obviously they will come down over the next 6 months or so
I have a oled b7 had it 18 months got a screen burn issue with the sky news strip can only be seen lightly and in certain screens.... tempted by this tv

See this is why I'm more going to go for this TV down the line. 18 months is unacceptable considering the price I imagine you paid.
i was tempted by this but the fact they are no longer doing the firmware update to support features such as eARC make this cold for me. that that price it really should have official support for the latest hdmi and earc

Then a b7?. I personally don't know. But this TV is by far and away the closest a LED TV can get to having the black levels of a Oled TV. Without the risk being involved. And before anyone says about the HDMI 2.1 stuff. The oleds officially do the 2.1. But this TV and the 8k TVs. Pretty much can do all the added stuff as well. Hell in fact if you want the higher model to this. The 8k TVs. They will apparently upgrade the One Connect box for you. But this TV will do 4k 120fps. Which to be perfectly honest with you. I don't think the next gen of consoles will even do much.

We hardly get any 4k 60fps games even now. Maybe next year with the next consoles but this TV dose all you will need for many years to come anyway. Ppl on this website want the latest and greatest thing but tech moves so fast it's crazy. Also I just looked it tut do go for a TV with HDMI 2.1 (or anyone for that matter who is reading this. You can now get 2.1 cables off Amazon rather cheaply. Just looked.

That the LG B7 has a peak HDR brightness of about 700 Nits versus over twice that on the Q90R is the most noticeable viewing difference.

If your that bothered between MS you shouldn't be using a tv anyways, Monitor's are always better as mine is only 4ms and i cant tell the difference between 4ms and 24ms might be because I'm getting old

Qled have better hdr, but oled hands down beats qled for picture quality in general and the top of the range qled is expensive for what it is

That 4ms will be at 1080p. QLEDs go down to as low as 5.9ms at 1080p. So monitor grade.

Nope 27inch 1440p 2k 165hz monitor is 4ms so wrong, as I stated you seem really interested in ms and monitors will always beat tvs

The aspects that OLED beats QLED in are things like grey scale uniformity and contrast / black levels (marginally) which really are not often noticeable in gaming or watching HDR movies.

QLED has way brighter HDR - much closer to the 4000 Nits most films are mastered in and a wider colour gamut - which are much more visible. I previously owned a 2017 and a 2018 LG OLED and I much prefer the picture of my Q90R and Q9FN.

And of course the picture of QLEDs does not deteriorate over time like OLEDs can as QLED doesn't suffer from screen burn in.

Ok the Q90R is 6.1ms @ 1440p VRR so still similar.

Picture quality probably not, hdr is better on the qled as they use different technologies, I've heard Samsung are researching at the moment a Qled/oled tv now that will be a gamechanger in the market
Micro led. Will is the next thing. The TCL X10/8 series for uk/Europe. 8 series for the US. I'd the first micro led TV for purchasing. Think it's in 65inch and 75inch. Think in America it is out. But Europe either end of the year/start of next year. So micro led TVs will officially be a thing.

From what ive read as well there is zero chance of burn in, which would stop people going on and on about it, and its better than both qled and oled of course as its basically a hybrid of both

Sounds brilliant
The reason Ive stayed away from OLED is due to screen retention issues and it’s just financially not worth the risk.
If this product is set to be manufactured it would be a game changer

It uses a single colour OLED backlight so brighter than LG OLED, just as thin and less risk of burn in - behind quantum dot pixels to control colour.

Yea "the wall" is definitely something. I've seen it bit only didn't say about it is because that's more for show then what ppl can buy.

I'm tempted to wait for either a micro led or see how Samsung Qled/Oled turns out.

Doubt it will ever have an online order option. Price is still not published. However if it ever does become online orderable and student discount applies then that would be one of the largest discounts ever on HUKD!
Samsung QE65Q80RA could anyone tell me if this tv Is good quality please cant seem to find any video reviews
