Save 2 grand and buy a better OLED. Better still buy 2 for the screen burn Samsung moaners. Still cheaper and better picture.

OLED lifetime is 100,000 hours. So 11.5 years of continous use.

really so thats why i have burn in on my samsung galaxy s7 edge after 2 years?

oled is awesome if you are low risk for static images but for people who do display lots of bright static images (i.e. fortnite health bar for example) for a few hours a day then perhpas not the best choice.

reddit has a fair amount of people complaining about burn in.

oled is best for varied users

standard led is best for gamers etc. (although samsung are a little too apple in their pricing atm)

Speaking absolute truth here mate. I had a well looked after LG B7 and exactly what you said happened, health bars burnt in, they really don't like any kind of static image especially bright one's. I wouldn't touch an OLED unless it was being used to watch movie's and that's basically it. It wouldn't surprise me if eventually the line off the edge of the black bars whem watching a film burnt in eventually. Very fragile tech I can't wait for micro LED

same reasons every company has stupid names for common features every company. OLED is good but its far from perfect it will get replaced sooner rather than later whether thats mirco LED or spmething else who knows but what i am sure of is OLED is not suitable for everyone. so downgrading a good (even if overpriced) product is not helpful.

It's still an LED TV though. QLED makes perfect sense.

There isn't an issue though. Q stands for Quantum. O stands for Organic.

It's quantum dot, not quantum.

Doubt most people care.

Exactly my point. Most people will look at QLED and think it is Samsungs variant of OLED. It isn't it is completely inferior and hence why they had to use a cheap marketing ploy.
Samsung use OLED screens on their phones for a reason.

I said it earlier. If you're going to spend this amount of money on a TV, you should research it. If you want an OLED TV, then you buy an OLED TV. This is £3k, it clearly says QLED, demo it, compare to other brands (LG OLED, etc) and come to your own conclusion. If you bought this thinking it was OLED, then you deserve to be disappointed for carelessly purchasing it.

You can buy a QLED for 600 quid.

Best off with a Sony anyway if you want FALD LCD.

Can you link to me a 65" QLED TV with FALD and 2000 nits peak brightness for £600. I will buy it straight away.

Wow, let me explain it for the low IQ guy.

My argument is that Samsung have called their LCD TV range QLED to deceive people into thinking it is an equivalent to OLED. Your argument that the TV costs £3k is irrelevant because someone could buy the Q6 edge lit lcd tv, which is also called a QLED, under the impression that they are getting Samsungs equivalent to an OLED. They are not.

At no point have I been confused between QLED and OLED in this discussion, so further nonsense from you.

Why are you having a discussion with such a low IQ guy?

This is a deal for a £3k QLED TV, and you brought up a £600 QLED TV. I am trying to stay on topic here. I've already explained why it's called QLED, but you seem to think the D would have made such a difference. Complain to Samsung about it.

Do you know of anyone that bought a £600 QLED TV that thought it was an OLED TV?
Yes it is a deal for a £3.2k QLED tv, which is evidently an absolutely horrendous deal, particularly when last years models are less than half the price and arguable just as good. There are many TVs which perform equal to or better than this for less than half the cost.

I don't know anyone who has bought a TV in recent years sorry.

I'm not offended by marketing, but I'm more than happy to point out when a brand is deliberately trying to deceive because their product is inferior. Its a shame it upsets you that I'm not a blind nuthugging samsung fanboy who copy and pastes the same trash over and over again about OLED TVs.

I'll ask again, do Samsung use QLED or OLED screens on their phones?

They mostly use Super AMOLED displays, which they started a long time ago. Well before we had OLED TV's.
