Ha, it has been up n down in price lately
But it's coming to its end the q70t is coming
Got mine yesterday, paid 799 very happy with it
Really want the Q70R 55 inch, anyone got it and opinions on it would be grateful tia
It's really annoying how the 49 inch is only a 60Hz panel, anyone got a decent alternative for 49 inches?
The 55" is £799 so £779 with £20 off. The 49" is £739, £719 with £20 off.

Bought the 55" just after Christmas. It's a very nice TV but unfortunately had to take it back this week.....Exchanged it for the 65"!

How come? Any issue with the TV itself or was it size?

Had it a little over a week, it has good brightness, colours and contrast, local dimming works well, good hdr performance.

It's also great for gaming, 1080p/1440p 120hz or 4k 60, freesync and good motion settings.

I too am looking for 49in TV and have confined my options to the Samsung Q70 and the Sony XG9005. They both have pro’s and con’s but the major drawback I’ve found with the Q70 was motion shots (60 Hz) compared with Sony’s 120Hz. The Sony weakness appears to be its Android User Interface compared to Samsung’s much slicker UI.

I have a Sony KD49XD7005 and the Android TV part of it is possibly the biggest pile of crap I have ever used on a TV. Changing the volume can make the entire TV stutter for a few seconds, trying to use any smart features is an exercise in pain.
Well there going to have to come down a lot more than this mrswitch if samsung want some more money from me ,my buying price was £480 for the 49" Q6 & £900 for my Q8 55" last time

Bought the 55" a few weeks ago couldn't be happier with it the contrast ratio is excellent it just looks like the pixel are switching off the blacks are so deep really amazing for an lcd! haven't noticed any blooming either even though i've been looking out for it even on subs in dark scenes and the colours are fantastic they really pop much better than i expected from a VA panel.
I'm mostly enjoying the versatility of being able to switch to 1440p 120hz for gaming on the pc then back up to 4k for media.

Grab yourself one I doubt you'll be disappointed!

They have now increased their price to £739.
Still can't decide between this and the Sony 49XG9005. Decisions decisions!!!
