@Mrsweet your thoughts as you are clued up on QLEDs mate

Very solid price for this set Merb, heat added. 🔥

Brings the local dimming zones from a Samsung close to prices of slightly lesser Led sets. Some of those still perform fantastically and are good tvs, but this handles light and dark things better when on the screen at the same time compared to much of the competition at this bargain price.

Nice mate - shame the soundbar offer is not applicable to this set! I think the cheapest i have ever seen this set was £674 via the Employee Purchase Program

Yeah I think this was mid 700's at most retailers last time I looked. So a great price for sure.

I'm still in the market for a telly but never been so indecisive. So much Choice!

I am seriously tempted by this mate... size of TV is perfect for me and as you have advised me before - the Q70R is one of the top of the range sets for QLED.
Nice find

I agree it's a fab set and can see why you're tempted! If you watch a lot of TV in daylight or get a lot of glare on screen, Q80 and above introduces the anti-glare filter which is main advantage of next model up, but obviously also a step up in price which may not be worth it to a lot of people. I'm old school and we also have curtains or blinds to help with reflections
I have been watching for a deal on this TV for so long, I think the cheapest I've seen with an eBay code is £695 via Crampton. Honestly can't see it going lower. I'm guessing I could 0% on PayPal as well. This would be such an upgrade on my current set.

I don't see it being any cheaper for a while mate. You won't be able to use 12 months interest free offer on this i believe if you use a discount code too.
This or the 55" with the free sound bar from Richer sounds for £800? :/
I own the 55 inch q70r, terrible ghosting/ coronas/blur constantly when playing games, samsung telling me its an xbox problem, won't take responsibility for an issue that all 2019 qled models are suffering from if you do enough searching on internet and youtube, its happening on ps4 too and i've never had the issue with my last 2 samsung tv's.

Doesnt sound good I wanted one for gaming! Do you know if the Samsung ru8000 is the same?

No idea to be honest
Does this definitely have a 5 year warranty? I’m on mobile so perhaps didn’t display correctly but couldn’t see it listed?

It does yes mate. eBay site does not state it but the normal Crampton & Moore site does and in the past i have checked with them and they have confirmed it can be redeemed via the manufacturer either way.
I have the 55" of this and I'm not impressed 👎

If you mainly game you should consider a monitor. Even for console users they are generally better and of course they are just as good for video, if you don't need a TV tuner built in they are a good compromise.

The latest LG Oleds also while expensive and have the burn in risk come gsync enabled and are decent for gaming.

Unfortunately I'd need a all rounder for the living room but I'd be using it mainly for gaming. Still undecided on what to get

This and the ru8000 at this size only gave a 50/60hz panel which isn't great for gaming

Same here. I have found the picture quite disappointing compared to the two Samsung ju6800 sets I have. I have also been using been feeling sick when watching/gaming for more than a couple of hours and suffered 3 quite disturbing vertigo attacks. All my symptoms cease when I avoid using this set and watch/game on the ju6800.
Just my bloody luck, bought a telly I cannot watch. 😞😞

Odd, i thought this TV has ALLM support which means it switches to low-latency game mode automatically. Pretty sure i read that the input lag is only 15ms so that is as low as it gets for TVs so this set is great for gaming once the TV is also calibrated correctly.

Motion stuttering is bad, thats with the enhancers off and on. Its worse on tv programs on sky hd. Not seen any issues with netflix or other built in apps weirdly.somethings not right with these Qled’s

Yes but it will still have low input lag and allow limited motion enhancements in Game Mode.

That's unfortunate, although if you've got a TV service you don't need freeview which is worth considering, I don't even have an antenna any more.

LGs are pretty decent, I'm careful about not playing anything with offensive HUDs too long on mine, but the OLED is pretty awesome for gaming and TV. Plus they are reasonably priced for what they offer.

They 10000% don't and won't even admit there is any issue with any qled 2019 tv at all, felt like breaking my phone when they said it.
