The Q70 is only £799 at Richer Sounds. According to avforums it is a much better model than the q60 so probably worth considering if you can afford a bit more.

Thanks for the link. The q60, q70 and ru8000 are all in my list for later in the year.
Main reason I had those in mind was they accepted 120hz and would be future proof for the PS5. That discussion sounds like they won't support 4k at 120hz?

Doubt any games other than maybe pixel games will be 120fps on the PS5, it will be 30 or 60 depending on the game as always.
Console developers always prioritize graphics over framerate, and with non adjustable settings 120hz is kinda pointless for it.

Maybe for VR I guess?

No the sets do not support 4K @ 120Hz. I have the Q70.

I bought the Q60 earlier this week and then cancelled and bought the Q70. A few quid more and a superior TV.

When you say a few quid do you mean £117 or did you get the q60 on offer?
The Q60 range is a bit of a misnomer - it really shouldn't be in teh Q series at all as it's a long way behind the rest of the Q range and little better than a standard set in my opinion.
How does it compare to the RU8000, nevermind the Q70.

Yep, I bought one then. Also bought another samsung tv at the same time and claimed the £400 cashback. Sold the other tv, q85 cost me around £725

Don't get me wrong it is good, but the price of it was a bit much, a friend of mine recently bought a Hisense 7500 and It looks great for the price which is more than £300 cheaper for the same size.

Only the Q90r will support this feature on the 2019 models. And only the hdmi 4 port
Lcd so cold from me
Why would anyone consider one of these?! They are inferior in every way to an oled. Lcd is old tech and you would be stupid to waste money buying one with the price of oleds falling daily .

How can you abuse a tv ?

Surely you just sit down and watch it

Leaving static images on it for very long periods - the new oleds can turn stop this happening. Go and see one next to a qlcd and you won’t buy a qled

I did the same. Bought a Sony 2 weeks ago and may be now regretting it. Android is bloated - still looks different every time and cant find what I want easily. More annoyingly its crashed twice now. 5 minutes to turn off and on again. I should have probably gone for a Samsung

I had an oled, lovely picture but the centre of the screen ended up with a green tint, I had to send it back. This is quite a common issue. If I'm spending £1000 on a TV I need to know it will last a good 5 years or more. I've lost confidence in oleds.

Was it within the last 12 months as they have improved the panels and the issues of screen burn. I wouldn’t have a qlcd in the house as the picture is so bad

Who are the people spending 1k++ on a Q60, or where are the OLEDs for £680?

Nobody said that but you can easily get a 55” oled for around £900 now. Qlcd is over priced garbage
you will NEED your apple tv as the software on these samsungs is appalling picture is pretty good though

Brand new OLED for £900? Where? I wish. I've been looking.

From what I see, still a substantial price gap. That's the only reason I'm considering models in this range. If it was closer there'd be no decision, like the Q70 vs Q60.
Of topic, but is a customer return 55q7fam TV with only 1 year warranty through fenwick worth it? £499

If you want to watch a load of clowns chasing a ball that’s fine. It’s leaving stuff like sky news running all day every day will cause issues. I have had one for 6 months without any sign of burn and the picture is stunning

You do what you want but if you leave it on all the time on the same image every display from crt, lcd and oled will burn. Remember the cash machines doing it? Same thing. You watch a fuzzy grey mess and enjoy your qlcd
I've got one of the Q models, not sure what the game enhancer mode does as I'm still useless!! Well I am only 43 so maybe I just haven't got the hang of gaming yet!
