Is it any good though? I'm not convinced this is actually even a proper qled set.

I have one and I am very happy with it so far.

Watched Planet Earth 2 in UHD and it did look amazing

I think this a special edition, have seen a couple of YouTube videos from the US that have slated this model or the US version anyway, the next level Qled's are a lot more expensive.

QLED is just branding. You’re lklely getting mixed up with OLED.

Going by Samsung's own PQI picture quality index it goes mu7000, q6, 8000, 9000, q7. Q6 is very close to mu7000 by their reckoning and reviews rate the mu7000 highly even at its original price which was double what it currently sells for. This q6 hasn't been reviewed much and is just out so hasn't dropped much in price. I think mu7000 at a bit cheaper is a better TV.

Qled is quantom dot light emitting diode. It isn't just branding. What I mean by my comment is it doesn't match up to the other baseline of other qled sets, in brightness(nits), hdr 1500 (this has 1000) etc. What I'm saying is it is basically a very budget QLED set.

Tough choice isn't it. I waited for this on black Friday, ended up getting the ue55mu7000. For the price it's at now it's a good TV. I ended up returning mine as it's way way too big for my living room. Going Sony xe90 (49) instead. I was amazed how good the sound is on the ue55mu7000. It's brilliant.

How was your experience in all with mu7000?
This or last years KS7000 for £749?
I'm tempted! Saw it in Currys next to an ultra HD LG. Colours looked better on the LG, but when the brighter images appeared, the Samsung really shined.

It was good. I paid 799 for it, I have a sony bravia at present and not seen many telly's that offer colour as good as it. Only buying for a 4k hdr upgrade. The mu7000 with some settings tweak is v good.

I just ordered a refurbished ks7000 for that price as it is far superior to the mu7000 for just £50 extra.

KS7000 is supposed to compare to q7, so q6 is inferior. You can get a q7 for £899 on eBay...

The model at reliant is an ex display or “reboxed” as they call it. It’s an amazing price though still

Then you've got to think why has a tv been out of a box. Usually when a customer has been unhappy with lightbleed, dead pixel etc.
By all accounts the "Q" series are this years "KS" series from last year.
A lot of people think they are hugely over priced and inferior or just equal to last years KS range.

The 55” MU7000 has one of the lowest input lag measurements of any TV ever tested. MU7000 review

Refurbished only.
Just picked up a boxed as new 55KS7500 for £380. The catch is that it has a pixel line close to the bottom of the screen.....
Took a chance and glad to say the screen is so large it is, weird to say, only noticeable if you look directly at it and in alot of TV scenes is hard to pick out. The Q6 series is as the guy above says, the 2017 version of the KS7000/7500 series. Very impressed with this TV, despite its fault. Expect the Q6 to be as good. Heat added.

Just looked. You can get a q7 for that price on eBay... From a seller who wants cash on collection, offering no warranty. At all. Not really sensible is it?
If anybody here has the MU7000 can you let me know the distance between the stands? Thanks

Variable. There's two different slots. 90 odd cm rings a bell

Got mine from Reliant Direct, paid with PayPal and got one year warranty.

Quite sensible I'd say.

Mu7000 is just £699

The KS7000 I bought was £749
£899 at Hughes as well. I was originally looking at the UE55MU7000, then caught wind of the older UE55KS7000 but rare as hens teeth unless refurbished. Now looking at the QE55Q6F.
