Watching this made my mind up to go for the Sony for the same money.[Video]

You mean watching a video comparing an entirely different TV model to this one?

There is really no way of telling how legit that video is.

They could have used a calibration tool on the 9005 and deliberately messed with the picture on the Q7 for all you know.

I'm not saying they did but I would certainly not base a purchase of something at a grand on the basis of one Youtube video with zero information about the testing conditions.

The Q7 is the next model up, so the Q6 is unlikely to be any better.

Would it look funny have a black soundbar with a silver grey framed TV

Getting a QLED at this price with a decent 2.1 sound set up is an amazing price. I would say even better than the Black Friday deals. So HOT.

You cant really tell properly on youtube videos because theres 3 variables distorting the video.

The camera taking the video, the compression on youtube, and your monitor/screen displaying the compressed video.

It would be like recording the sound from some £1000 speakers, record it on the microphone of a mobile phone, convert it to AAC format on youtube , then listening to it back on some £30 headphones and judging it on that.

OLED's images look very blue when recorded on video, even though its not in person.

Not too bad I guess. I'm using a black Tv stand and the sound bar will sit under there somewhere. Depends on where you place it?

I'd suggest checking out some independent reviews for this set.
I've seen the q6 and q7 in stores and while the q7 looks excellent I wouldn't say the same for the q6.

Hi,
I checked out the TV and with all these 4K TV's the SD channels are blurred. For this price point and the free soundbar it is a worthy purchase. TBH there isn't much difference in the 2 models except one is HDR1000 and the Q7 is 1500. We don't watch 4K all the time nor are all channels 4K they are upscaled but no tv does it to a picture perfect clarity and we aren't stuck to the TV all the time.. So taking all that into account I appreciate what you're saying but this is still a good TV for the price.

This or Sony Bravia KD55XE8577 or Sony Bravia KD55XE9005

The xe9005 is definitely better but it’ll cost you another £200 and you’ll have to buy your own soundbar.

Q8 is the next next model up. So q7 is really unlikely to be any better.

£1104 at co-op with a code.
Plus co-op membership cash back.

Or richer sounds price match would be £1094.

Will hopefully hit £999 soon

Don’t think the co-op credit back is on the xe9005 - wasn’t last week when I checked anyway - as it’s only certain items. Can probably get 3% back using cashback sites though.

XE9005 on sale at the moment. Seems like the lowest price it’s been.

His comment made perfect sense.

Before any reviews come out this TV is a somewhat unknown quantity. I expect it would be better than the MU7000 but worse than the Q7. The problem is it will offer substandard HDR and if you don't need HDR then may as well go for hisense 6800 which is significantly cheaper.

Think I will stick with the LG OLED which works out £480 more expensive but is rated better than the Q7.

I reserved this online and collected in store. I managed to get 2 sets of sandstorm digital optical cables worth £80 for free chucked into the deal along with the already free soundbar 👌👌👌

Bargain. Wonder tv. 10bit and 120hz in 55 guise. Not as bright as Q7 at 1000 nits as oppose 1500 and no motheye filter but excellent nonetheless.

with sony you really need a sound bar but samsung still making usable speakers in their thin tellys
