The 2019 model is £651.75, with 5 years warranty, if you can access Samsung Store discount portal. Also you can get 50% cashback on soundbar.

the RU8000 is not any near to the NU8000. The 2019 range is been significantly downgraded.

Nah, the local dimming system is very basic. Half a dozen vertical stripe zones. Don't expect pictures with great highlights.

I'd consider it wide gamut only in HDR terms, although it does have one of the better colour gamuts on a mid-range TV.
This is an absolutely superb tv trust me I'd say its very on par with the QLED Q80's and above and blacks looks so legit

Shame I don't have a big living room for this. Maximum 40" for me and my only option is Panasonic GX series 700or 800 which are a bit pricey..if anyone else can recommend me another 39"-40", would be much appreciated!( 43" is too big )

Now now. That's physically impossible. How can you fit a 55 inch TV in a 49 inch store?
The LG tvs have the patent for full array back-lit tvs I think.. I have a LG and the full array leds are really good and importantly the sound is so good you don't need a sound bar... No idea what this TV is like but heard they are great and it's a brilliant deal.

Methinks if one is going to be a smart-arse, one should remember the Pythagorean theorem, namely, the width of the TV would be around 47". Not taking into account the bezel.
I had no idea. I found a good link though and maybe helpful smartreview.com/tag…-tv

Why not, the offer is clearly advertised against the discounted price on the website

I thought so too.

I couldn't apply the 50% off a soundbar deal.

They said to read the t&c and it does say the offer can't be used with another offer!

Bought a q90r too so thought they would let me just get away with it.

Nevermind though, went with Sonos instead.

To fair I had similar problem but after complaing got mine approved
Before thinking of buying any Samsung QLED tv, read the many user complaints about visible vertical stripes especially when plain backgrounds; e.g.the expanse of green displayed when watching football. I have a 49 inch model which suffers from this. Buyer beware!
I have this TV. It's awesome!!

Many tvs do. It's called vertical banding

Dolby Vision is a game breaker for me.

It doesn't have DTS support either.

Won't play a lot of avi files either.

It actually plays fewer videos than my 2016 set which is disappointing, you have to use Plex.

There's also the Sony Bravia KDL40WE663, the Samsung UE40NU7110 and the Panasonic TX-40FS503B, they're not the top end ones though.

GX800 is the best one at that size though and prices should be coming down.

Yup, waiting a miracle for Black Friday for the 40GX800 from Panasonic...like £400-£450 from Richer Sounds ( currently £600 )
I had We750 from Sony, very poor tv, don't want to hear about it..
Fingers crossed for the GX800

GX800 is edge lit, not direct. Panasonic is also using Vestel on the cheaper TVs.

Is there much difference in quality between this set in the link to this posted on here? I use the 4K mainly for PS4 gaming.
Iam first time hearing this company
Anyone used this site before. Is it legit?
