Similar tv yesterday for £339 at Amazon. Cold

Too funny.

Currys £100 off on Xbox One X is misleading. It’s £429 now at Amazon and JL or £419 at SimplyGames. Good deal if both TV and xbox needed just worth asking them to price match on Xbox one x.

Lots of places still sell it at 449

I’ll have whatever you’re smoking mate...
I’m confused, what have all these 449, 339 etc prices got to do with this deal? Is everyone suffering from TV deal overload? This is a completely different product.

Bahaha
I guess people don’t understand what QLED is and it is worth paying for.
Personally I’d pay the extra and get an OLED.
the big problem here is you have to buy it from curry’s!
Got this TV arriving sometime today hopefully but as scottjfitness has said don’t buy it from Currys as I did. Promised delivery on Thursday and it’s now Sunday!!!
QLED.. Marketing hype at it’s best. This is freeeeezing cold

Qled won't suffer from screen burn. Oled can suffer. I suffered a hint of it but it disappeared after switching the tv off for 10 min

thanks, I asked as I'm not familiar with either technologies apart from the burn issues. If oled screens do suffer are punters willing to pay more yet put up with this as a side effect for a superior picture quality? I'm not sure I would tbh. I'm in the market for a new tv so will need to do my own research.
Plasmas had a problem with screen to. I own a pioneer plasma and have never had a issue. My oled suffered it as I fell asleep and forgot to turn the Xbox off so ended up with with a image burnt in. But like I said it disappeared after switching off. I knew of the issues but still spent close to 5k on my tv. Imo the picture is far superior to other technologies. But there is the risk and it isn't covered under warranty for burn in

There is a risk. Most of the comments u will hear from OLEDs malfunctioning is from screen defects. But that doesn't mean thousand of units are absolutely fine and have nothing wrong with them. Richer sounds do a 6 year warranty with their OLEDs so try that maybe. Avoid some other high street vendors cos their warranty is shady. Cough cough Curry's

Cheers, would never go to Curry's a friend was royally scr3wed over by them . In terms of warranty, I read on another post, screen burn is not covered, apparently not even by the likes of John Lewis, probably regarded as wilful negligence!

oh right, cos I spoke to a lad at richer sounds like 20 mins ago, and he said that screen burn in is covered by the warranty, I wonder how it would go down if I did ever claim, I do however feel they are the most easy going and highly reviewed after sales support, currys just dont GAF

Screen burn is not covered on any OLED. Just like banding. No retailer is able to override the tolerances they get back from LG when assessing the issues.

The brighter the OLED light, the riskier the burn in. Kinda defeats HDR and the blacks are limited in range because they crush. Limits of the tech... for now.

Hi there,

I saw your comments on this thread and wanted to take the opportunity to clarify.

As per the terms of our guarantee helpfully posted above by Indy S we don't cover screen burn, however Samsung are currently offering a 10 year screen burn guarantee on selected SUHD models themselves. Details available on their website.

Of course if any forum user has any further questions feel free to drop me a PM.

Many Thanks
