Waiting for good price on 65 or might just get the oled lg65 b8 from richer sounds for 1480
Can anyone comment of this versus the Q8? I'm advising someone, and in my opinion, it's worth paying more for FALD.

B8 OLED isn't an option, as the user can game for an entire day.

I was talking to a John Lewis guy Saturday and he said fald was worth the extra if your watching loads of movies or dark media.

The b8 should be fine for gaming too I know burn in is a thing but the set has some options and tweaks over older version to help prevent it. Everywhere I read for the price the b8 is just better. I'm debating a b8 myself.

I guess if you can afford the q8 go for it.

If it was for me, I'd go B8 for sure.

I know this user will really mistreat the screen though, so LCD is the safer option. Only 40 zones of FALD is also pretty poor, but it's still better than edge in my opinion.

The new Sony range have lots of fald zones. I saw those too and they were incredible. I just can't decide if perfect black is better than better nits.

Personally, I've always had an issue with Sony LCD's and how horrible they look when displaying fast moving SD objects, (4 music is usually my acid test.) The user also wants Samsung.

I've go perfect blacks every time to deliver contrast as nits just means eye strain and poor sleep. I had this experience with an LG LCD. With the OLED on the other hand, I never have sleep issues.

Ahhh sounds like they know exactly what they want then. I have an old LG 32 inch atm but I think i want a b8 hah it's just a lot of money.

The xg so ya looked real good though I can't take that off them. The rep had ps4 footage and all sorts of demos. All looked good Tbh.

I.probably need to go back to JL myself to see more units.

I think take the plunge and get the b8, could always get it from richer sounds with 6 year warranty plus they price match, and if u don't want to drop that much money at once u can pay it off over a year interest free as long as u pay it all under a year
A lot of 55" deals kicking about just now. Where are the 65's

Who's the current price match with? And burn in isn't covered at all on warranty I don't think?

Yes its worth the extra. Much better blacks and higher peak HDR brightness.

Peak brightness is only higher in HDR content. And movies are mostly mastered at 4000 Nits so unless going to the cinema gives you eye strain then you should be fine.
