Ah OK, I'll adjust op, cheers bud.
I've given heat as it's a good deal but I can't see why you wouldn't spend £100 more on an oled

What advantages does oled have over QLED? Genuinely interested

friend has one and a lovely bit of screen burn from a logo , not suitable for me as wife and kids like to pause tv for ages so too risky

Pretty much everything other than brightness and screen size availability

That's understandable, although the newer models do have preventative methods to reduce the risk of image retention

Brightness seems like a biggie to me. But thanks for the heads up.

It’s personal preference too. I got the shop to put this and the equivalent lg oled next to each other and same video playing of a 4k disc film. Personally I preferred the qled.

quick question about the samsung cash back deal, if you go for a buy now pay later deals (like at curry's) will they still honour the cashback?
Qled has a speed lag compared to oled also just binned my 5 year old Samsung 4K curved because the led backlights come off common problem with Samsung

Yes, as long as you have proof of purchase
Oled might get screen burn, with these you may get retina burn they go that bright
So so tempted by this....richer sounds promise to price beat & get an extra years warranty plus a soundbar or 2nd TV worth up to £300.....I've been keeping an eye on qleds all year and this is best value I've seen....great all-rounder with local dimming, I'm especially looking for gaming which is why I wouldn't risk oled, couldn't hand out that sort of money with risk of screenburn

Old models do too.

Bit like current android phones and apple products.
Both are very good
OLED have deeper blacks and QLED arguably brighter.
Latest models the difference is even less.
Great deal btw

Tempted by this with the soundbar offer, but the eligible soundbars seem to have shot up in price eg HW-Q70R £799.......was as low as £369 on `Black Friday!
can you use apple iphone/ipads to connect to a this (or any) samsung tv's? My wife has lots of films on her ipad via apple, which she would want to play on the tv
Great price but from what i've read though the european models of the Q80R only have half the dimming zones compared to the american counterparts if we want the same you would have to opt for the more expensive Q85R we get teabagged as usual same prices for less hardware
