But this isn't an OLED. Their "QLED" brand is a deliberatly misleading piece of marketing to make people think that it's an OLED TV.
I bought the Q9FN. Amazing TV especially with the One Connect Box.

Added a no gap wall mount for £130 and it looks stunning on the wall. Beautiful blacks. Amazon 4K TV app built in. No burn in risk.

For a LED edge/backlit tv this is deal is poor. Let leave it at that shall we?

I was merely pointing out that Samsung have misleading branding.

Exactly NBJW, Samsung should be more honest and call it CrapviewinganglesLED. Loads of people who only buy a TV when there's break get mislead by the QLED con.
Got my Samsung Q9FN 55 inch on Tuesday from Mark's Electricals Leicester £1599, very happy.

This years QLED models have the new viewing angles tech. Pretty much removes the issue unless yoy like to watch at 90°

This one is full array back light too. Not as many zones as the Q9 or 90 but not edge lit. Got to balance that against the better viewing angle and latest viewing tech. I've been pondering which of the three to go with. Slightly better gaming on this years. But the Q9 is brighter so you get that awesome pop in HDR. All 3 are pretty good though looking at them in action as opposed to tech reviews. Decisions. Decisions.

I will check them out kilboy. Really hope Samsung have made improvements here for the gamers out there. Doubt the viewing angles are OLED class though.

Yeah OLEDs are always gonna win there but it seems like a big improvement. The game mode is slightly improved on this years models too - just under 15ms which is pretty much as good as it gets on a TV.

Improved viewing angles and fast response times, that really is impressive for gamers. Is this a VA or IPS panel?

Have You considered the LG C8 or C9? I've been considering either the Q9fn or the LG OLED and I'm still torn between the two

Yeah they're awesome too. I game during the day quite a bit so I the extra brightness from the QLEDs is probably what swings it for me. If you don't have sunshine issues then the C9 is probably slightly better. I don't think you'll be disappointed whichever way you go.

All the reviews seem torn as to the overall best but Q9/90 and C8/C9 are always nearly always the top of the 'best' lists.

Yeah I've noticed that too. I think I've watched so many 'what's better QLED or OLED' reviews on YouTube it's made my decision making even harder! I'm also a gamer and the screen retention stories (FIFA logos etc) do put me off of OLEDs I must admit, so I'm edging towards the Q9.
One arguement for Qled seem to be the higher peak brightness than OLED.
I really don't understand this arguement. Does anyone really want it to go that bright. I have my OLED set to 37/100 and it's more than enough.

The motion, screen uniformity, viewing angles, lack of backlight bleed, and amazing blacks all swung it for OLED for me.

And continue to double down on misleading people by offering a 10 year 'screen burn warranty' which is absulutely pointless. It's about as useful as then offering it on their washing machines.

For me specifically as I said above I game during the day and sun glare is a pain - my current lcd even maxed out brightness makes it tricky to see well.

Other than that some reviewers prefer the extra 'pop' you get in bright HDR scenes.

These are small differences really overall though. Whatever bits one type is 'better' at is like an 8/10 to a 9/10 when it comes to the top end QLEDs and OLEDs. They're all really good TVs.

So the peak brightness on the OLED isn't that bad then? Must admit I did like the thought of having a super bright screen that pops, but if you say the OLED isn't that bad for brightness then that could possibly sway my decision
Price updated to £1329 thanks to @devinn
