Excellent price on this imo

Pretty much the same as the John Lewis deal I posted this morning which quickly went out of stock. So don't wait too long if you're interested.

TV comes with 5 Years Guarantee

A really good quality QLED Smart TV with a free Samsung HWR-550 soundbar, just add both to basket where discount will be applied.

Also available at Richer Sounds.

Yeah that always seems to be the case, I'm enjoying the one I've got so not too bad
Old stock but a very good tv should be nearer the £700 mark as its a 2018 tv

Is the Philips OLED at the same price better?
Right so I'm looking at the ue55ru7400 as a decent price TV around the 450 mark. I know it's not as good as this one but is this a better deal? Twice the price. But is it twice as good? Future proof? Overall what are the gains? Looking for opinions fo
Rom all you tech heads out there. Thanks.
Nice one @Mrsweet
Anybody else been getting ghosting with the 2019 qleds? Have you found a fix if so?

This depends on quite a few factors and what is most important to you from a TV?

I am going to buy a new TV this weekend and I will be honest and say I am leaning to the Philips posted by my friend @MrSwitch

You can make a case for each of them, and they are both very good sets in their own right.

Second that. Not much of difference between Q70 & Q80. I have a LGOled aswell but I seem to like Q70 more than Oled now. Q70 doesn’t seem to strain the eyes as much.
Great find! Now for the Q85 to hit £999 and I’m sold!

Thanks Anthony, and yeah - hopefully the Q85 will follow suit!

Thx, now the only downside is the lack of DV support
No Dolby vision in Samsung tv
Lack of Dolby vision is stoping me buying this tv
its funny how most sites have dropped price at same time, anyone would think there is a p[rice fix cartel going on
Will this be able to handle the PS5? I hear a lot of TVs don’t have the correct HDMI port.
Same price and sound bar deal at John Lewis (already posted by you!).
I know which which retailer and warranty I'd prefer to deal with.

Edit - now out of stock at JL.

I own both, well the Q85r which isn't much difference to the Q80r.

The Q85r is superior, the blacks and HDR are noticeably better but the most impressive thing I found is the way it handles reflections in a bright room. I've never seen a TV handle them better. Is it worth twice the price, I don't think so

May I ask what strains your eyes on the OLED?

I’m returning my Q70r because of bad dirty screen effect and considering the LG C9
Tried to buy, but I can't seem to get the free soundbar?

If you're having trouble with ordering at curry's, richer sounds may also be a good option at the same price
I had an alert set up for this and I'd jump at this normally but something's telling me to hold on to my cash right now.

That's a very fair comment Wilt, best to trust your instincts

I feel Oled are much brighter and sharp but then when I am watching during the night or in dark, my eyes feel a bit heavy.
I do binge watch a lot!!
