Well it is personal.
Personally I would rather have a 65" OLED than a 75" LED.

Am still on the fence regarding Qled and Oled. Not convinced they offer enough over LEDs to justify the price tags.

If you not convinced you haven't seen them in action.

I have an OLED and a very well reviewed LED in the bedroom the difference in quality is very easily noticeable.
You certainly get what you pay for.

This is a very good deal for a good TV and a pretty well reviewed soundbar.
It might be worth going into a Richer Sounds and asking if you could pay a bit extra to get the Q70R soundbar instead.

OLED isn't 'hype', it's a truly superior technology. Ironically, QLED is the very definition of hype.

It’s not incorrect, manufacturers warn of retention. I’m not against the tech, I just think you’re wrong with your comment. Most people won’t notice the improvements over a QLED as they will be busy watching the tv not analysing the black levels

So if we don't 'analyse' picture quality, and just concentrate on what we are watching, why doesn't everyone just buy a Polaroid from Asda?

I'm an OLED owner, and like 99.9% of owners (as opposed to commentators) I've experienced no burn issues.
Personally had a qled and pled put next to eachother in shop both playing interstellar. I bought the qled as I preferred the picture. Just go make your own choices rather than all the hype on either. If any tv sales place wants the sale, they will let you compare!

Let's be honest, you would have gone for an OLED if you weren't afraid of the hugely exaggerated burn in stories - QLED is a compromise.

Why do you think there’s a queue around the block at every Asda for the cheapo Polaroid TV’s?? Let’s be serious here, there’s a massive difference between a cheap LED with bad colours and poor motion handling and a mid/high end QLED. We’ve got to compare apples with apples, and to tha5 end, a QLED compares favourably to an OLED, but it’s a personal choice, as I said, each has its pros and cons

I'm sorry to appear argumentative, but that's a bit of a myth too.

I accept that QLEDs can go brighter, but this is more of a measure of HDR effectiveness, rather than room suitability.

I have a South facing lounge with French doors, REALLY bright room, and have my OLED brightness set around 50%.

It’s not argumentative at all, it’s helpful.....if a little understandably bias (PS4 v Xbox anybody?). I might still consider OLED, I just feel swayed more to the Q9 now

I understand why you would think I might be biased, but don’t forget I could have bought QLED instead.

I truly believe that the ONLY reason anyone opts for QLED is because they are too nervous to go for OLED - I think it’s a shame that Samsung prey on that, and charge such high prices (relative to other LCD TVs) taking advantage of society’s worriers.

Qleds are better than OLEDs for brighter rooms. But I am hunting for a deal on 65 C9/B9.
Personally I would go for this over OLED as a gamer, but the lack of HDMI 2.1 in the QLED has ruined it for me, so I'm back to looking elsewhere.

It’s a shame Samsung didn’t opt for an extra yellow pixel instead of a white one and a double shame that Sharp stopped selling their Quattron tvs in the UK

I have an LG 65 inch OLED tv. I have used it for almost everything over the last year. It has 3600 hours usage on it. No signs of any burn in. Very happy with my purchase. OLED is inifitiely better than LED. Make sure your next TV is either OLED or QLED and then think about larger size. Previously for me size was eveything but now I believe the new tech is day and night levels better.

Samsung added a white pixel in addition to the red, blue and green pixels... hence q (quad) led... to improve brightness and contrast. Years ago Sharp patented the addition of a yellow pixel... hence quattron... to improve colour definition. It’s impossible to produce true yellow with only red, blue and green pixels so the quattron system gives truer and more realistic colours. A Sharp quattron pro with a full array backlight would be superior to a Samsung qled but unfortunately it’s no longer marketed in Europe.
