I know that this has been cheaper etc but none of us have a time machine (as much as I'd love one right now).

Shows as £1199 but voucher code for 200 off takes it to £999 with 5yr warranty.

Had been looking at the Q80 but for an extra £100 this will be better for me as it comes with the one connect box so can hide the cables away.

The 2020 models are a step down from these according to what I have seen so time for me to bite the bullet as I want something that's going to last 7-8 years.

Same price at Currys PC World with free next day delivery but didn't fancy dealing with them if it went wrong (unless anyone knows if the warranty is dealt with by Samsung).

Can probably get RS to price match for an extra 1yr warranty

I'm still hoping the 65q85r come down to this price as they clear stock for 2020 model. Good price for what it is

it wont, like every other year stock will be way gone before would get down to this price, even through samsung employee scheme went down to around £1300 and that was it
just sent one of these back for a refund because of sound issues on all hdmi inputs, apparently a known problem on 2019 Qleds. If you switch to a hdmi input from watching a HD channel you get a popping and crackling sound, the way to stop this is pull the aerial out or put the tv on SD channel before switching,Samsung have been told of problem months ago by numerous customers but they have done nothing about it...Here is a link to Samsung forum. eu.community.samsung.com/t5/…998

Looking at the thread, it only seems to happen when an external Antenna connection is used for the internal DVB tuner. When the aerial connection is removed, the issues don't seem to happen. If you're using a Sky/Virgin/BT Box, you're unlikely to see the issue (which is probably why Samsung have ignored it)

Pretty sure it went to around £1150 recently with Unidays discount.

Starting to regret not buying it. So you get 2yr warranty with Samsung? I realise the EU 2yr rule but are Samsung offering 2yr?

I’m not sure I do actually. When you fork out that kind of money you’d want peace of mind for more than 2 years, wouldn’t you? So if you factor in an added warranty for a couple of hundred quid, that takes you back to 1) RS/JL type of prices 2) the same old question- shouldn’t I try to go OLED for that kind of money?... As someone put it here, I hate technology

Yeah I know the conundrum. However each incremental price increase, ie extra warranty, qled to OLED etc soon adds up. When I think this way I wish I took the lower price less warrantied TV, a risk I know but one that could pay off if all works out. For me, its going to be the 65q85 at £1050 or less with unidays discount or 65b9 at £1200 or less. Rocking a plasma and projector at the min so just about getting by
£200 discount code is now active on RS site to take this to £999
Got mine from Hughes with the hwr450 soundbar (missed out on the 550) up to yet I'm very pleased with it.

Few issues to report on Bluetooth losing sync after being on standby for a day. Unable to link to Google home (smart things tech support are looking into this supposedly) and bixby is a pile of poo

The screen is excellent in bright rooms and deflects light well. I highly recommend getting the no gap wall mount, just not the official one at £129. OMP do one on Amazon for a reasonable £50
