Johnathon Lewis are just increases prices of televisions with a view to return them to the previous lower prices for the Christmas sales.

This is the case for some LG and Toshiba televisions.

Shameful conduct from the company that is often knowingly undersold and struggling.

At this price, why not just buy an LG OLED?

You can't just blame John Lewis for that, all the retailers are doing it. The cheapest you can now find this TV is around 2k, as mentioned above, it was less than £1800 a few days ago.

I did not just blame Johnathon Lewis, I blamed Johnathon Lewis. This does not mean others are not doing the same.
So why buy now?
PRC direct still list the 55q9fn for 1799 or it was earlier today

cant wait for mine to be delivered tomorrow
This was £1799 at most places before the Samsung phone deal. Then magically goes up to £2099 while the deal is on. Will be interesting to see if it comes back down to the original £1799 after the deal. If it does you can be sure the retailers will all be crowing about the great savings we would be making.
Btw this TV isn't oled. It's just fancy led back light. Only LG and Sony have proper oled TVs at the moment:

I had purchased it on the 27th November from Richer Sounds at £1,680.00 Hills radio price match which is now gone. I contacted them on when the promotion started and they agreed to write up a new invoice receipt if I agreed to pay the current price match at John Lewis on the 5th December which was £1,799.00. So I paid the extra £100 for the new invoice and submitted my claim st Samsung

I called richer sound on the 5th, told them how come the price went up? They go it was on sale during black friday, but i told them there was any sign saying its been reduced or that its been on sale...guy stop talking and so i go have you increased the price cause of samsung offering free phones with this range tv.. and his reply was head offices instruction on the price increase
Did someone who calls herself Common Sense just suggest buying an OLED telly with a Lucky Goldstar badge instead?

Am not on anyones side but i seen and tweaked witg these tvs in the shop an i can gaurantee the. Comparison the editor of that article is making is not of the backlit qled range tvs because on them the bars are black not ink black like oled but black black no light bleed unless you have it on max maybe (am unsure, not tested that), oleds are freaking awesome but unless you watch in a dark room then it looks dim and almost cloudy if you compare it to the qled q9 range.but i would personally choose oled but online went with this because am a gamer and am concerned about static image burn

Another BS post from a Samsung fanboy - you almost certainly have never owned an LG OLED, and there is definitely no way you had concurrent faulty ones.
I’m using this TV to play Red Dead Redemption 2 on a PS4 pro and it looks stunning. Well worth it.
is this free phone deal sim free or will i be tied to a contract? thinking i can sell the phone on thus reducing the price of the tv

It's a sim free phone, no contract
Anyone know if it's single or dual (hybrid) sim? What colour? Suspect I'll see them all on ebay soon!
Oh by the way you can claim for the phone before getting the tv in most cases, i ask my retailer to send me my tvs serial number and invoice and within 3 hours i got a response from samsung saying the phones on its way
